Want everyone to nod their head and give it up to the guy who perfected the Triple with Cheese, Biggie Fries and Biggie Frosty.

Dave Thomas, founder of Wendy's, lost his battle with liver cancer today.  A very admirable man, if you've read of his life story, a giant in the food service industry and maker of the best burger in the business!

RIP -  Biggie Dave Thomas

I heard that on the radio at about 7am this morning, but I didn't know he had liver cancer.  Going to be kind of strange not seeing him on the Wendys commercials.   My condolences to his family.

You're right Tom.

Dave was adopted as a child, made his first million by 35 when he sold Col. Sanders, back 4 KFC's to him after he turned them around for the Col.

He was a huge advocate of adoption programs and quite the philanthropist with his money.  I happened to see his Bio on A&E and promptly went and read his book.  He was also dyslexic as a child.

Just a real inspiring story about what one man can achieve when he refuses to succumb to his limitations.

And he made  the hamburger!

Sad to see him go as well.

But I thought he had a Slow-growing Brain Tumor (Has one of those Scientific names that nobody can understand, or pronounce).

The sad thing about it is, sorry to say, the quality ofWendy's will go down the tubes from now on. Just like KFC when Col. Saunders passed away.

Condolences to the Thomas Family.

I heard that while fixing fence this morning, didn't even know he had cancer.  From what I could tell he was a pretty good guy, no one ever had a bad word to say about Dave.
