License Plate Frames...

want to spruce up the YDXL with a few license plate frames

 

it's the Champagne/Gold color, the front had a black plate holder so thinking black chrome, or would regular chrome look good with the chrome grille?

 

for the rear, the lower part of the plate is covered by the bumper, so a different plate would work

 

what do you guys have on your rides?

I have a soild black frame with a smoked cover but mine sits on top of the black plastic on the bumper so it blends it nicely but still looks finished. I'm not a fan of badging and stickers (Yes, really. ) but I really am not a fan of license plate frames with writing, skulls, flames or anything else on them. It just looks too Autozone to me. There's no need, IMO, to have what make and model you are driving visible in every direction at all times.

 

That said, out of the choices you gave, go with the two chrome ones to stay consistent.

We bought a vortec for one of the family toy cars several years ago. I have a plate frame that came in th package on my truck.

 

Kinda poser, I know, but it makes for interesting talk on the job site. Every once in a while I will hear some subs talking about it.

Simple very thin chrome frame for me. (or black depending n the vehicle). I don't want writing of any kind added. I think it looks clean.
