I have read the other topics and think I get the overall idea. Just wondering if I could get so pics from you guys that have already done it. I need some help with ideas, and plans. And, other wise... tips or hints would be helpful.

That is a good post! However it is important to also add same size wire on the ground side of the battery as the power for the amp.

 

I have seen 1/0 wire off the battery and only the stock 4ga one wire on the ground. Where the ground has to serve all factory power and your add-ons.

 

Mine looks alittle like that,but no wire going to the back firewall bolt.

 

 

I have

1/0 off alternator to isolator

1/0 off 2nd battery to front ground on motor

4ga off isolator to batterys

4ga off 2nd battery to ground(match power for amp)

 

2nd batt. runs radio,radar,alarm,amps,hids.

 

I have 1.5 digital caps but realy don't think I need them with 2 battery isolated system and my amp in the center console makes the power wire very short.
