2wd Lift Help..

Thanks to Dan, he gave me some insight on this topic (which I know gets discussed a lot, but not as much for 2WD).

2006 Silverado Hybrid Ext. Cab 2WD 16" wheels (boo) - Wanting to level the ride by lifting front end. Dan suggested coil spacers.

Questions:

- Do I want a 2" or 2.5" coil spacer to level it out? Have seen both, but didn't know which was closer..

- Will I be able to use my new Billet shocks safely with these added on?

- Easy install overall?

All I can think of thus far...thanks!

Bump w/ some new info and pics. Think it would look better leveled?

Stock ride height: rear measurement between tire and fender = 6 3/4" , front 4 1/2-3/4"

Leveled ride height w/ front measuring 6 3/4"

Is this what I can assume it will look like? I just need to know about the 2" coil spacer, if that will give me a true 2" lift...or opt for the 2.5"?

Also, I've seen 2 options...eBay Coil Spacer - Metal 2"

and Polyurethane 2" or 2.5"

Any additional help would be great, thanks!

I've got and 06 2wd, and wend with the Ready Lift 2" coil spacer. This isn't a great pic, but you get the idea

with the 2 inch it doesn't look full level, i would go with the 2.5s for sure....i dont think they will put the front higher than the rear.

I might need to redo the pics on a flat surface..I am parked on a small incline which may be deceiving. Thanks!

Completely off topic, but, what kind of mileage do you get with the hybrid?

Well, it's hard to say..they call my system a stage 1 hybrid. The truck is never propelled on electric, it only kicks in if I am braking under 12mph, or if I am idle w/ my foot on the brake. So, I am not really getting better MPG's, per se, but I am saving gas when you would normally get your worse MPG... I get close to 20mpg on the hway and 15-16 in town.

That sucks. I get that same milage and have no hybrid.

But, I also have a compressor wherever I go...start my truck, hold in a button that activates 110v mode (turns all the outlets on)...pull the key out, truck is still running on gas. Now able to use 110v plug ins that are located inside the cab and also in the bed of the truck for whatever I need! :jester:
