Wanted: 2006 Chevy 1500 Regular Cab With 5.3l "z" Code

Good Day all:

 

The title says it all. I am looking for a 2006 Chevy 1500 series with the 5.3L ethanol-capable engine. Don't really care if it is a 2WD or a 4WD. The important thing to me is the year, engine and that it was NEVER smoked in.

 

The "Z" code in the VIN (8th digit?) means it is the 5.3L that will take the E85 fuel. I strongly prefer a regular cab with long bed that has not been abused.

 

I am, however, open to extend cabs and short beds if that is all that is out there.

 

I will also consider accident salvage if the price is right.

 

If you are a dealer, I will not do business with you as I learned my lesson the hard way buying my 2006 GMC. I am looking for a private party sale only.
