dubs_17 Posted March 25, 2009 Posted March 25, 2009 Has anyone replaced their factory seat covers with leather from www.leatherseats.com? I'm thinking of doing it, so I would like to see some pictures of the leather cover sets installed. Post them here! If you don't have pics, relay your thoughts/experience that you've had with these guys! Thanks

wtbrowne Posted March 26, 2009 Posted March 26, 2009 I have them. They shipped fast and everything was in the box. The quality and fit is very good! I don't have them completely installed yet but I will post the pictures as soon and I have them finished, possibly this weekend. I've done all the work myself and it is harder than I thought it would be. My fingers were very sore from pulling and tugging on the covers, both taking the old ones off and putting the new covers on. One problem that I did not expect is that 1/8 inch staples and powerful staple gun are required to fit the new package holders on the backs of the front seats. I could not find an upholsterer locally that would help me with this part, so I purchased the stapler online. I now have all the parts I need, so maybe this weekend! I've compared my job to a new truck with a factory leather interior and the seats in my truck shine next to the factory leather. These things are beautiful to behold!
Majorleaguebass Posted March 26, 2009 Posted March 26, 2009 iam about to order mine, since they are from oklahoma iam just gonna go you there and get them installed. 1000 installed...
wtbrowne Posted April 2, 2009 Posted April 2, 2009 I didn't quite finish over the weekend; however, I did them yesterday. I've attached a couple of photos as promised. The seats actually look better than the photos. I found taking the pictures in such a confined space was harder than thought it would be.

Question... some folks prefer leather and some prefer neoprene covers. Anyone had both? I've only had leather... but am curious about the durability/washability of the neoprene (e.g., Wet Okole). Not much more $$ for the leather, but covers can be taken off/cleaned.
