Oem Rim Size?

Recommended Posts

Posted

I am looking at new rims for the truck and I have the tires for life deal when I bought the truck and would like to keep the same rim size. I am over seas and cannot find out how wide the rim is... Any help will be great!

so will the 9 in wide rims fit the stock tires or should I go with the 8 in? This would be so much easier if I was home with my truck!

The 9" wheels should fit. If you go to the manufacturer's website they should list what wheel widths will fit the tire.

What tire and size?

I believe the wheels are 265/70-17. Then from what I can find for the different possible tire brands that it could have, they all have a wheel width fitments from 7" to 9".

My 08 Extended Cab LTZ Z71 has 265/65-18's and the stock wheels are 8.5" wide. You should be able to use a 9" wide wheel with no problem.

If your wife can't find the tire size on the tires themselves, the tire size will on a white sticker on the door jamb.

Does your truck have tire pressure sensors? If so, they will have to be transferred to the new wheels so make sure that new wheels are compatible.
