Corsa Exhaust ?

Good morning everyone,

I am looking at the Corsa exhaust systems. I have listened to many video clips but wanted to put a question out for those that currently have Corsa systems. If you have the Touring system do you regret it and wish you went with the Sport system? It seems the video clips focus on how loud the system is but they rarely give feedback on what its like inside. I found one clip that seemed to give me an idea but its just one video clip.

I really dont want a great deal of cabin noise or "drone" its my daily driver. I have an MBRP system on my 2500 hd which is now a work truck and it was perfect. I have been in trucks that had exhaust work and the majority of them had issues with drone.

Any input would be greatly appreciated!

I have the sport dual exist on my 6.0 and I can tell ya, sometimes I don't even hear the exhaust till I get on the throttle. At highway speeds, its pretty dang close to stock sounding. Awesome system and I personally don't think I'd like the touring. The sport has a nice growl, but quiet for normal driving. You'll be impressed if you get it.

YouTube has a sound clip I posted, and theres another 06 Vmax with the 6.0 that has the touring.

Thanks for the input. I checked out the Youtube videos even found one that appears to be the same truck with both systems. Its a 2006 Yukon Denali so I figure it would sound similar to our 6.0 trucks. It was hard to tell even though they took the time to do some video with different driving situations and windows up and down.

If it doesnt drone I will probably go with the Sport. I dont like my neighbors..haha..let them deal with the noise as long as it doesnt drone inside I dont care. They complained about my diesel every winter when it went into the elevated idle to warm up!

thanks for the clips very helpful. I believe you have answered a few of my questions on various threads. I had one about the GMPP intake and you chimed in with good info. Much appreciated.

so what you are saying that it sounds stock when cruising? just get lound when you are on it? on my old 06 i had a magnaflow muffler. there was no drone but right at 65 it seemed to get loud in the cab. kind of annoyed me. how are the corsas when you are cruising at speed on the highway?

I'm telling you, there wont be any drone inside the cab. Yes, growls under throttle, VERY quiet on the highway inside the cab. You'll hardly know you have an aftermarket exhaust on the highway. You'll know it when you kick into passing gear! You'll hear a nice growl when taking off from a stop. The lighter the foot, the softer the sound.. I had magnaflow on my last truck and it was def. louder inside the cab.

I have the Corsa Sport and really like it. There is no drone and like what has been said earlier, its barely louder than stock in the cab when cruising. I do wish it was a little louder overall but then again I really don't ever hear it outside of the cab. The quality is great and the installation was very simple.

I have to agree with the others with the Corsa Sport installed. I have it installed on my 07 Avalanche with the 5.3. There is no drone and I love the start-up and idle sound. WOT is pretty good too. My only complaint is the "burp" you hear when the engine switches between 4 and 8 cylinders. Most people don't notice it, but once you do you hear it all the time. The stock system was tuned to prevent that "burp" from being audible.

I bought my system and had it installed for just over $800. Best investment I've made so far!

how does this system compare to the corsa? do you get any extra interior noise while crusing? does it come to life under throttle?

It definitely comes to life. It is a great sounding system!!!

No interior noise while cruising.

I rode in a truck with the 5.3 and the GMPP touring exhaust, the one with twin tailpipes out the back. I could be mistaken it may have been the sport. It was fine inside. It was pretty loud outside but overall was well engineered. I wanted to have it installed on my truck the day I was picking it up. The dealer didnt want to do it saying it was not for the 2009 6.0 trucks. It didnt make much sense to me but I didnt push the issue either.

I ordered a Corsa Sport today at lunch from a local 4x4 shop.
