Dfw: Factory Wheels Being Stolen

Recommended Posts

I was so pissed. They got the 20" Denali wheels/tires, smashed out passenger window to get to the wheel lock and jack, etc. They didn't seem to steal anything of value out the interior of the truck (I had my sunglasses, radar detector, and a few gift cards in the truck) Insurance should take care of me. I had rental car insurance, so I'm driving an '09 F150 crew cab, 4.6 3V, 6A. It's a good truck, but I want my Yukon back.

That really sucks, I can't stand people that **** with others' vehicles. I always thought the side glass shattered when it broke. The alarm should have gone off if you locked it with the remote unless they crawled through the window. The interior switches are disabled and pulling the stem up and opening the door will set it off.

Edit: The unidentifed pieces are the bag for the wrench and extensions and the other is the clip that holds it in place.

Parking in the garage FTW!

Yeah, I knew what the unidentified stuff was, but my wife didn't and she took the pictures. I would park the Yukon the garage, but I have my wife's car and my C6 in there. I need a 3+ car garage is what I need, but I'm not planning on moving anytime soon. I'm going to add motion sensors, motion lights, and a security camera in my driveway. They will be in deep shit if they come around again. Dealership is saying they may be able to hook me up with the 22" Escalade wheels with the insurance proceeds. I'll believe it when I see it. At the end of the day, I just want to be made whole.

They didn't open the door, so the alarm didn't go off. I am going to add a shock sensor and inclination sensor to the factory alarm as well.

I'm sorry to see that. The nerve of some people...

Good luck with everything. On a side note, maybe I should hide my wheel lock socket. It's just sitting in the center console. Hmm.

Was this done during the night? How does this happen without anyone hearing, seeing anything? Doesn't make sense to me.

Is there much value in Denali wheels? Or do people do this to keep the wheels for themselves?

Damn...! I'm sorry to hear & see this, QUICKAG. If you don't mind my asking, what part of town are you in? I know someone from here, up around Haslet / Roanoke, I believe who had their's swiped a while back.. and I think someone in Mesquite had their's stolen too.

This stealing of GM wheels in DFW is freaking ridiculous. The factory wheels seem to bring in big profits to these assholes.
