Debadge (almost All)

Okay, I removed the Silverado lettering from the doors and everything from the tailgate, removed everything with fishing line sprayed goo gone on what was left let it soak a few minutes and used a old gift card to scrape them off, the whole thing took about 45 minutes including clay bar every where I took an emblem off, the big bow tie surprised me I grabbed a corner of the black gooey stuff and it started pulling right off. I left the little GM chiclets on today they will come off another day.

Looks good. I debadged my truck last year. Funny how the little mods can make such a difference.

How did the goo gone work?

 

I have used 3M adhesive remover at work for years. It works great, especially on the 3m tape for the emblems.

it worked good I went to auto zone looking for the 3m stuff they did not have it so I bought the goo gone I sprayed it let it sit then when I was ready to scrape sprayed it again the tape stuff came right off.

Do you have side molding? I don't and have been debating on debadging, I don't want the side to look too plain. The tailgate is getting it next week when I give it the spring clean up.

Matt, no side moldings here is a side picture lthe silverado lettering was still on the door, when I go to a parking lot and see some piece of crap, who I know will park next to me I. wish I had the moldings, but to me it looks cleaner with out them.
