I'll never make it till February. I have the NASCAR withdrawals so bad I can't stand it!

I think they should run a 51 week scedule. Take one week off to have the banquet and then go to Daytona. No testing, no off time.

Alright Friz, take to beers and PM me in the morning. :D

Actually, I can wait.

I can do stuff outside and not worry about being back home in time for the races. :D

Speedvision is showing all kinds of good stuff.

And plus, I like seeing all the new paint-schemes on Jayski's.

Plus, I like this time

I don't know what I would do if I didn't have hunting to keep me occupied during the winter.  It would take forever for Feburary to get here, probably will anyways.

btw, I priced out he cost to get a roll cage and seat welded into a hobby stock car awhile back.  Guy does most of the roll cages for the top guys in our area, and they all have good things to say about him.  He said $600 for him to provide the materials and labor, and included the roll cage, seat, and fuel tank mounts.  Forgot what tubing he was going to use, but it is heavier duty stuff then required.  Does that sound like a fair price?

It won't cost me that much, because I can get the materials at a discounted price and just take them too him.

That sounds like a dang good deal! Go for it.

I wish I could drop ESPN as a token of thanks for their lame bids to host racing events...no nascar, no IRL, no Cart, no F1, a lot of nada...

ATT broadband won't carry Speedvision in my area, so they will feel the ax next month. I bought (2) Directv satellite systems for $0.00 after rebate, for the house and cabin.

I served up a dish of DirecTV. Got (2) receivers and dishes, one for home, one for the ranch. Paid 49.99 before 50.00 rebate for net -0.01, and the kind people at Best Buy gave me the second one for free since it was an open box. DirecTV gave us Showtime free for 6 mos as one of their promotions. Neophytes like me didn't know, but that meant about 8 movie channels, not just (1) Showtime like the old cable days.  :D

And of course...SpeedVision! (Which is just paid programming about half the time) :D

Oh man, way to ruin it for me.  Here I was all excited that our cable company finally decided to offer SpeedVision (just started this week), and I find out it has that kind of junk on it.  Oh well, it will still be worth it for when it does have racing.   :D

Well I got more bad news for you Kyle.

Speedvision is organised by day. Cars and Trucks are Monnday, Motorcycles ar Tuesday, Marine is Wednesday, Aero stuff is Thursday.

And the weekend is a mix of all 4.

I don't like it myself.

I can see a light at the end of the tunnel.

Today, one of my pilots and I were discussing the feasability of flying to Daytona to catch the Truck Race. He's running over the numbers (fuel, weight, etc) to see if we'll be able to make it there and back in one day.

I hope things work out and you get to go to the truck race.  I'm betting it will probably be the best race out of SpeedWeeks this year.  But just being around Daytona on a race weekend is pretty cool in itself.  Only been there once, but can't wait to go back again.  My experience with Indy wasn't quite the same however.
