Just read this at GMI, supposedly the pressure to drop it is coming from above (the same place the pressure came from to drop Rick). **** it, they might as well get it over with and Nationalize GM instead of just bullying them into doing what they want.

Another blogger with a bullshit opinion... BLAH BLAH BLAH!

GMC isn't going anywhere. It's one of GMs most profitable product lines. Why does this crap keep resurfacing?

In 2008, GMC sold 168,544 Sierra half-ton and heavy-duty pickups. That's more sales than Mitsubishi's entire car and truck lineup in North America — 163,418.

I hope the G8 becomes the NEW Impala...

All I can say to that is F#ck yea!!!

Losing Them both would suck but I can see it coming. I could see them keeping GMC as the work trucks and medium duty stuff. And not having a chevy work truck anymore. Good riddance to pontiac!

I've never understood why so many people seem so anxious to drop GMC...sure they're all rebadged Chevy's, but who cares as long as it's profitable. Like GM learned with Olds, dropping a brand doesn't mean all those sales will just go to another division within GM.

Because they have standard drum brakes on their trucks, of course. :)

Does anybody know where I can get a front drum brake conversion for my GMC?

If you buy a drop-in bed liner you can get the front drum kit for only $299! :D
