Ok Audio Gurus..

I'm finally sick of the radio and decided it's time for an iPod hookup. I'm not set on anything, but I also realize my only options are a line-in or RCA's. I know my electricity, but the whole audio thing is new to me. One option is http://www.crutchfield.com/p_469GM12AX2/Pr...v2.html?tp=1672 and the other is http://www.bestbuy.com/site/olspage.jsp?sk...d=1218015169429 . I realize one comes with a harness, but is it possible to buy the cheaper adapter and pick up the harness seperately? Is there a better alternative to my ideas completely?

By the way the truck is a 2003 2500HD without Bose, XM, or Onstar.

Hm. Now that I have model number I'll look around for a better price. How was the install? I've had the dash apart before, so I kind of know what I'll be looking at. Thanks Dan!

I had to do it a few times (since the unit I had was an old one, and the software wasn't compatible with my ipod), so now I could do it in less than 10 minutes.

Pull off the dash, pull out the H/U, plug into the back of the H/U, plug the other end into the little box thing, plug the other wire into the little box thing, set the dip-switches, run the wire out of the dash, shove the box in the back out of the way (yeah, shyaddap :withstupid:), put the H/U back in, put the dash back on.
