A trailing solid rear axle won't get an alignment unless it's been tweaked/skewed from a wreck.

What kind of wheels/tires do you have on it?

chrome factory wheels an the tires i am gonna replace this week.maybe 50% tread left but thats my last option.I took it to michel tires an they said u dont get 4 wheel alignment but when u get front aligned they align it with the back wheels, which i have already had done.I have owned the truck 6 months.Carfax doesnt show an accident but there is a scrape down 1 side like it hit a mailbot or something, nothing serious.

Might be a bent rim or a tire problem. Like the above poster said... unless there is something bent in the rear end the rear alignment is not changeable.

How would i know if something is bent in the rear end?? It does ride good most the time, just when i hit a bump it vibrates a second. And wouldnt a bent rim vibrate all the time? I guess tires will be next..i tried to upload aphoto but isnt working.

just throwing this out there...

You said you're getting a vibration after going over a bump. Is it a vibration, or is it axle hop?

What I'm getting at is maybe your rear shocks need replacing. When they're dead, they can't control the axle/springs any more and you start getting additional axle hops after some bumps.

i put gabriel guardians on it saturday. but thanks for throwin it out there.Any advice is good advice. Cant say it hops, it shakes, some call it vibrating,i call it shaking.i feel vibrating in the drivers seat .The guy at michel tires test drove it an couldnt tell alot,he said try shocks an tires,i did shocks.Guy at tire america said try front shocks which i already did, front shocks, tires an,front end alignment an tie rods. But guy from michel said its in the seat an feels like the back end,so i did back shocks. If soemthing was bent, wouldnt i feel it most the time? i drives great most the time an has 100k on itso i understand its not new. just i would like for it to ride better.some people cnat really even feel the shake, vibration whatever it is.i looked at springs an they did look ok to me.

1 mechanic told me my rear differential was leakin an priced it but when i got my oil changed the other guy said bs,it looked ok to him.he siad everything looked fine to him anyhow

someone told me it may be the "center carrier bearing on the drive shaft"...is this a major issue, expensive an a big problem? an does it sound feasable? I had a mechanic at michel tires tell me a couple weeks ago that the center support bearing on the drive shaft could be the problem.I went an just looked at it just now ,it does have alotta play in it,but another mechanic there at the same time came over an said it was fine,a little dry rot on the "bushing" but it looked fine to him.But since i got someone who said it could be this i am gonna maybe have it changed. Is the center carrier bearing on the drive shaft the same thing as the center support bearing? an is it a major issue?Thansk again
