Weird Electrical Issues

The last three days i have been having an electrical issue that has progressively gotten worse.

Here is a rundown:

Sunday afternoon, sitting at at stoplight, as i start moving, engine and all electrical (lights, radio) shut off for a split second, engine restarts, indicator lamps on dash flash, everything back to normal. happened twice within a minute.

Monday morning, leaving for work, as i am pulling out of my parking spot, same as above. a few seconds later, it happens again, but stays off. i try restarting, turn the key, nothing. radio won't turn on, i turn the headlight switch, nothing. i try again a few seconds later, everything works fine.

Tuesday morning (today) leaving for work, start up, runs for about a second, shuts down. turn the key, nothing, no radio, no lights, nothing. a few seconds later, try again, nothing. about a minute later, try again and it works. drive about ten feet, dies again. this time it won't restart no matter what i try. i turn the key to the accessory position, nothing works. the headlights don't turn on. i push it into a parking spot and take my wife's sunfire to work.

I have also been having intermittent problems with my left rear taillamp. the lamp seems to be working fine when my lights are on and as a turn signal, except when i hit the brakes. when i hit the brakes it goes out.

my vehicle: 1999 S10, 2.2l I-4, 5 speed manual, only aftermarket part is the radio.

thanks for any help!

EDIT: after the incidents sunday and monday, the time on my clock and radio stations, etc were unaffected. after this morning's first incident, the clock and radio were reset.

Check all the battery cables and grounds for loose connections and/or corrosion. Check EVERY connection from the battery to the start and the grounds on the battery, engine, chassis, etc.

That was a typo. meant to say from the battery to the "starter" not start. I also had this problem not long after I bought my Suburban. I checked all the cables and connections and it turns out I had a bad battery. The actual side post terminal on the battery came loose or cracked off and was literally just hanging out the side of the battery, still attached firmly to the battery cable.
