Removing Bench Seat Center Console

So I was in the drive thru today and I spilled 3/4's of a runny milkshake in my center console. I have cleaned it up the best I can but I want to take off my console to clean beneath it. How can I do this??? I tried pulling up on teh hard plastic part in teh console thinking it might pop off or un snap but that is not the case. I want to get this done before mt truck starts smelling like spoiled milk.

I think you have to pull the two bucket seats to get the center section out because the brackets are held in by the 4 inner seat bolts. They aren't too hard to get out.

I'm sorry let me rephrase what I need. I need to get the insert (hard plastic piece that holds your drinks and whatever else you want to put in there) out so I can clean that.

It's riveted in under the center seat. The only way to get it off is to remove the center seat and drill the rivets out.

The Drink Holder will pop up out real easy, just lift straight up, you can just remove the drink holder or the entire black section that houses the drink holder. The whole black section will sound like you are going to break it but it will pop out easily. There are two plastic tabs towards the front so try and pull from the back side closer to the drink holder to avoid breaking the the tabs in the front. As far as removing the center console you will have to remove the front seats in order to remove the whole console. With out knowing exactly what set up you have it's a bit hard to know? As the post says bench seat I assume you have a Different set up then this?

Hey guys,

I have an SL. It's just the basic model. The cup holders and center "stuff" holder is all together in the center flip seat. My camera is on the fritz or I would take pics.
