Just curious how many grease nipples there are on a 09 Sierra Ext Cab, I did the oil change last wknd and seen only a couple on the tie-rod ends, I wasn't looking to hard as I knew I didn't have time to get at them that day anyways.

Thats it,Just the two tie-rod ends.

Serioulsy, Just 2? I guess it will make for easy grease jobs but any idea how long the ball joints and other u-joints etc will last?

My 97 about 10 (just off the top of my head) some were a pain to get to but it was nice to know things were getting lubed up when req'd.

Yep,Just two.

I hear ya' on the other ones not being greasable,I totally agree that you should be able to grease them.

I remember all the problems they had with the early GMT400 trucks ('88-'89) that had non-greasable ball joints,Boy was that a fiasco!

Elimination of grease fittings was done so we wouldn't mess up the bearings. Most bearings fail because people over grease the bearing, not because of normal wear and what not. I say, unless the service manual says to, do not put grease in them unless your truck is not stock.
