Replace 6.0l With 6.2?

Hi. Just wondering if it's possible to replace my stock 6.0L with a performance 6.2L. Do they have the same bolt pattern? Any advice is appreciated.

Thank you

As I understand it, they don't share the same bolt patterns, so I think you'd need to grab the trans too if you were going to attempt. Anythings possible with money and time though. :D

I wouldn't say its not worth it... There quite a leap in torque and you pick up the advantage of having the 6-speed. Its just a matter of how important it would be to you to have that advantage.

I don't know a single person who did a 4.8 or 5.3 swap to a 6.0 who said it wasn't worth it. :D It would be a similar scenario. Also the new 6.2's have dual tuning for E-85.

Swaping the same family engine, is a direct drop in. Thats why is a no brainer from moving from the 4.8 to a 6.0.

The L92 and the 6speed is a whole different animal. All the wiring needs to be changed, mounts, etc. Granted, if you have the money and time, go for it. But you are looking at doubling the cost that say adding a FI, cam heads, etc.

Cam, Tune, Headers and a super charger...with the right combo you could have a 600hp daily driver.

Crap a Tune and the cam Justin (Black Bear) was talking about in a post a while back you have an easy 450+

No need to go with the 6.2 the 6.0 is a very capable motor with just a little help. With just a Black Bear tune I am amazed at how well my truck runs for a 5400lb crew cab.
