Fly Wheel Question 96 Sierra 2500 4x4

I have a 96 GMC sierra 4x4 2500, I took out the motor and swaped it with a 98 Tahoe 4x4 engine. I am having a problem manually cranking the crankshaft, It only moves about 8-9inches before totally dead stopping. I took out the spark plugs thinking it was on a compression stroke but i was wrong it is still doing it. Would you happen to have any suggestions on this. THANKS VERY MUCH

  Ha!! So GM Customer service, ive already been talking with someone on your email team and there is nothing they can do. So pretty consistent with everyone else’s experience- you can do NOTHING.. worthless emails. Sure glad i have 4 GM cars on our family cuz now its clear you dont care.. Sad and pathetic.
