Gear Selection Light Not Working

im having a issue with the lights on the dash of my sierra not illuminating enough to see anymore at night. during the day you can see them but its dull, bud at night its pretty much black on the screen. has anyone else run into this issue? and what do i have to do to fix it? i also noticed part of the light for my dash must be out because there is a duller spot on my speedo area.

I'm thinking a gauge swap's your best bet. As I understand it, the bulbs are saudered in..and not replaceable. You can find new clusters online for under $300 and if you don't want anything fancy, then even cheaper.

I agree that it's probably burnt out bulbs, and yes they are soldered in, but they can and have been replaced by several people here.
