Guess I will post this again since it disappeared.

I am looking for a 96 or 97 Chevy K1500.  I want a regular cab/long bed, Vortec 350 with a 5-speed, Silverado trim level.  I would also prefer it have the tow package, Z71 (or skid plates), locking rear diff, and under 70,000 miles.

This is a pretty rare combo (the five speed is really rare), so I figured I would ask on here.

Boy, good luck finding one with a five speed.  I don't know of any around, either on lots or being driven, but then again, I haven't really been looking at half tons.  Looking over K3500/3500s, not many good ones out there that meet what I'm looking for in a truck.

I know what you are talking about.  I wouldn't mind having a 2500 or a SRW 3500, but all the ones I have seen have just been beaten all to heck.  Kind of figured a 1500 would be a little easier to find in good shape (I'm very picky).  Besides, I probably won't need anything heavier then a 1500 until I get out of college.

When I found my stick I jumped on it bro! :-)  400 to hold it that day, I love a 5spd compard to an auto now.  There will prolly be a day when no one knows how to drive a stick.......*Sigh*

Well that day has come here in Va it seems.

Everytime I see someone driving a stick, they don't know what they're doing. They HAVE to look at the stick while they're shifting and start  swerving all over the place.

I don't know, maybe I'm just that **** good, it makes everybody else look bad. LOL

I will admit, I'm not the best. I get eager on the gas when shifting, but hey, I don't swerve.

That reminds me of a story........
