Alternator Build Code

I'm thinking of replacing my alternator on the ol' 99 2500 GMC. It has well over 200,000 on it and I don't want it to fail on a trip. All the other rotating accessories, idlers, tensioners, waterpump, and A/C compressor (a few yrs ago), have been replaced recently except the alternator and powersteering pump. I figure the alternator will give up either the bearings or the brushes in the not so distant future. Undoubtedly, it'll be at an inopportune time. So, I prefer to change my parts as preventative maintenance rather than wait for them to fail.

I'm trying to recall what alternator rating I had on this truck, but my memory is as long as my pinky these days. Anyone have the code for the alternator rating so I can look in the glove box sticker??

Thanks

Chuck

It should begin w/ a K and here's a nice easy way to look it up:
