2005 GMC 2500HD 6.0

 

Help!!!!!!

 

My front Brakecalipers are ratteling when driving on rough roads or when i drive over bumps.

Replaced Caliperbolts and rubber bushings,but still ratteling.

any advise what to do would be great.

Its probably the pads rattling in the calipers your hearing. There's pretty much nothing you can do but replace the pads for some expensive good quality ones...like hawk or EBC.

Im not so sure its the Pads,because when i grab the caliper i can wiggle it pretty good,there is a lot off play.

Yeah...that shouldn't happen.

 

Did you have shims between the caliper and mounting bracket that you lost or anything? Have you tried putting a washer on the bolt?

 

You need to get an exploded diagram of the caliper to see if your missing a part somewhere...that just ain't right.

No there where no shims.I didnt tried the washer yet,almost looks like the boltholes in the caliper are a mite to big.

well, guess i have to take it apart and check it out.
