...have those stupid arse stick on hood scoops? I have seen them on just about every make and modle of car around here. Sadly i see most of them on trucks

They are EVERYWHERE. It is retarded and funny at the same time. I dont understand why those people think they look good. Especially when they are unpainted! That and Im pretty sure they know they arent functional. Why they put them on their beaters I do not know.

Funny you should mention that....i went to the autoparts store the other day, and this dood had one on his volvo. It was really funny, his volvo was red, and you could tell the scoop was the white/cream color that it came from the factory in.....BTW this wasn't a new volvo, it was the boxy safe volvo from 1990

You couldn't GIVE me anything from LUND. Although, I'm ashamed to say it, my hood guard is from them, but it required no painting and bolted right on. But these other tools, that get that catelog and buy one of everything, makes the truck look really plastic and stupid!

A little off the subject, but, i have heard of i guy who had a 'maro SS and he had his NOS purge blast out of the hood scoop. Pretty cool, but it would be awsome if he could purge then rev his engine and suck the purge back in!!!!!

Wow, that's tacky! Not too many around here. Socal 100K + city.

What drives me nuts are those nasty spinning hubcaps...more and more everyday. I just couldn't put those on my car/truck and think I was pimp! :)

I have to agree with you there. Those spinners are kinda of silly but the mexicans that work the nurseries here like them. (those things are not cheap either)

I've seen a few around here, evenm a few that were not painted, just stuck on, too funny.

Here is my question though, what would you consider a "Home Town" to be. Where you live, where you were born, what? :)

Back in the late 60's and early 70's, reverse scoops or cowl induction was a big deal.

Yep, cowl induction was a big thing. I don't think it's gone out of style much, but that's just me. As far as the fake hood scoops, I don't think they look too bad as long as they're painted the same color as the vehicle. But it is a shame that they aren't functional. My brother's (96z71asskicker) '96 Silverado has the scoops. Looks cool IMO.
