Pics Of My 3/5 Ground Force Drop....2008 Rcsb

Okay guys its all finished so heres some pics. Now keep in mind Im still hoping the front will go down another 1" or so after it settles because I didnt get any drop from the 1" coils. Its perfectly level but I wanted a slight rake. The back is at 5" and still uses the block so I may replace the front coils with MCG 2" coils and remove the rear block later on. Im kinda liking the stance even though its not slammed like the 4/7 guys on here. However, I kinda hate to mess with it because the d**n thing rides great.

It actually rides great, the rear is stiffer but it was too soft before and used to have alot of roll. Im not sure if the stiffer ride is due to shocks or leafs but I love it.

Best part is I dont have to climb in it and slide off the seats getting out.

Looks great man. Any rubbing issues, cuz i want to go with the 4/7 macgaughys drop, but dont know if it will rub?

No rubbing at all, has plenty of room with my 265/65/18's which measure about 31.5' or so. I too was gonna do the 4/7 but its just too low and I have read other members having problems bottoming out on the bumpstops, thats why I went this direction. I still wanted to be able to use this as a truck and haul my dirt bikes/4 wheelers so 4/7 was just too much for me. I wish you guys could see this in person because its alot lower looking in person and standing beside it.

Looks good, I'd keep it just like that. Any lower and you lose that "truck" look and definately lose some right quality. I could easily see an "SS" with that ride height.

Man that looks great? Was that a lot of work or did you have someone do it?

Thanks....yes I did it all myself, doing the drop is alot of work. I had to take the brake calipers loose, brake disc, spindles which means busting loose upper/lower balljoints and tie-rods. The front struts have to be dissasmebled and use a coil spring compressor to remove and to install the drop coils. The rear is also a pain because you have to drop the gas tank to access the leaf spring bolt and the pass side had the muffler in the way of the leaf spring bolt. I also had to cutoff the rear bumpstop off the frame and grind smooth. It took me about 14hrs and 3 days because I took my time and did a little each day when it warmed up.

I will take a pic of the pinion angle tomorrow and post it. I was so amazed though, because it was dead on, couldnt be any better. I have lifted many trucks and K5 blazers and allways had to use shims so I was kinda expecting to have to do it on this one, but to my surprise I didnt have too.

My buddy came over today and we took it out for a good test drive, I had it up to 90mph today and cruised at 80mph on the freeway and I have no vibes at all. No axle wrap under full throttle take off either.
