Rather Than Show You My Fail, I'll Tell You About It.

Hey guys,

I'm sure alot of you have been wondering why I've been scarce lately. (Well, atleast those of you I haven't p/o'ed  ). Some bad decisions I made this summer has made it the worst of my life and I can't wait for '09.

-Back in July I found out the hard way what "1 too many" is. Now I'm a new member at the dewey club. "WTF is this "dewey" club?" you ask? Get pulled over and blow over .08 and you'll find out. I handled the whole getting cuffed and stuffed part pretty well... Seeing my mom walk into the sheriff's office while I was front and center in all my glory handcuffs and all talking to the magistrate, that's the one thing I never want to re-live again. As you can imagine I don't really wanna talk about it all that much.... So that's pretty much all I've got to say about that.

I've been mopey, and it's part of the reason I was a bit harsh "tugging on the leash" with you guys when I tried to resolve issues as a mod a little while back. And those who were victims of my fury I whole heartily apologize.

I'm going to take some time and get myself together... I'll still be on and off as I've been as of late. But I shall return.... don't yall worry about that.

Sorry to hear about that Jeremy. Good luck getting everything back in order. Don't worry, like always, this too shall pass.

No DWI's for me (knock on wood), but I had a "Year to forget" back in 2000. Don't want to go into any detail, but let's just say it was NOT a good start to the new millenium. But it got better.

Now, about that "warn level".......

So, we were your antidote. That is why we got slapped with warns. j/k. Keep your head up Jeremy, it's not the end of the world. If you think being in front of a judge for drunk driving is scary, try being there for back taxes. That my friend is no picnic. They can make you want to not exist anymore. Good luck to you, and may God Bless.

Dealing with it sucks, for sure, but it eventually even out man. my DUI is 14 years behind me, and i did NOT deal with being cuffed and stuffed well at all. took 4 officers and a large ass dent in the hood of one of their cruisers to get me cuffed. I'm not proud of it, but i share to let you know it all washes out in the end. just be sure to learn from it

Damn, that's pretty rough. I just about shit my pants standing in front of the judge so he could reduce a speeding ticket to a non-moving violation. He was REALLY rough on a guy right before me who had a 'dewey', I can't even imagine how I'd handle that...

Good luck to ya man, it all evens out in the end.

EDIT: To quote Harold and Kumar, "In the end, the universe tends to unfold as it should."

I think most of us can relate to your situation Jeremy, whether or not we actually got nailed by the cops while under the influence. I didn't get the ticket, but rather hit a bicyclist on the way home from a party back in 1983. He was cool about it as he wasn't hurt bad, but his bike was a mangled piece of metal. Bought him a new bike and he didn't press charges. That pretty well was the sobering experience of my life as I could've killed the guy. Life has a funny way sometimes of yanking on your leash and pulling you back in. Hang in there!

I've sorta been there myself.

Many years ago drinking was a normal thing for me. Except I usually had too many. One night I was into Uncle Jack way too far. Got caught driving. About 4 AM the wife and our 2 little ones came to the jail to get me out. That was it for me. No more hard stuff. Just beer.

It all eventually worked out.

Time does heal.

feel lucky, realize that had you NOT been pulled over, you could have proceeded to have an "accident" and kill someone. You'd be in one heck of a lot worse shape then. Call this a blessing.

Hope things get better.
