Just installed the best accessory on the market, Tailgate easylift by Hopkins Mfg. Purchased on Amazon @ 60% of the factory price. My tailgate went from 44 lbs lift to 4lbs.

This Item is 2 thumbs up for me. I installed it in 1 hour, drilled 2 holes and install. It was easy with my helper ( wife). Now my grandkids don’t ask for :D help to load.

I recommend this for all tailgates.

I have the ez-down. It let's the tailgate drop nice and sloooow. I don't know of any really good reasons why I have it. I just thought it was cool. :D

I can see where it would be a good thing with small kids around. Especially if you want them to do the work for you!

I have EZ-Lift on my tailgate already (factory), and there's a real difference I can tell now from lowering and raising the new HD's tailgate, it takes a bit more effort...

If your tailgate is too heavy, you could always trade your truck in for a Blundra with their ultra light weight "Flexgate" which goes along with their "Tri-Flex-Frame", their "Flexamatic Transmission" and their "Flexalobe Camshafts."

I know, I know, I am far too mean spirited and insensative to participate in this thread.

When I get to the point that I'm too pansy to handle my tailgate, it'll be time to sell the truck and buy a cute little pink Ford Focus.

I think our new friend Bryan is just trying to get some free advertising here.
