Took off and sold the chrome tow mirrors.

Got the 2018 Denali Ultimate last Friday. So far the shifts are crisp and no harshness but I am only at 600 miles. Liking this GM Borla exhaust that I had put on this one before i picked it at the dealer, just has a deep throaty sound. Makes any distress over a harsh downshift insignificant if it happens my plan is to get on the gas Hahahaha

You’ll be fine, I ran 33/12.5 on a 20x10 -24 offset with no rub, I’m running a nitto ridge grapplers now 305/55 and has to trim just a tad to keep from rubbing

Jesse, now I'm depending on that rain this weekend. Problem for me is, you probably have a better chance for rain in the Houston area, as I'm west of Austin in the hill country. But the weather man is forecasting a "chance" of rain for my area. The town I live in gets it's water supply from the river that runs through it, and in 2011 the flow of the river almost stopped because there was no rain for close to four months. So I'm thinking about washing my truck this afternoon....

It seems to never fail for me... every time I wash my truck and detail it real good, the next day or so it rains. I think I've gone a whole week once or twice without it raining. What part of TX you from? Oh, and Gig 'em!

I don’t understand how this worked? Has anyone else actually tired this before we started spending a ton of money on the programming of this? Im sure others have had the security flags trigger right? Lol witch craft happening here or something.

Like both @WesternMike and @pgamboa have mentioned, I'd be very hesitant putting any module in a different vehicle, especially a cluster, that needs programming due to tamper flags. You may have gotten lucky because all the parts came from the same vehicle thus all the modules already have the same internal VIN even though they dont match the VIN on your truck. Everyone else wanting to do this mod, I'd play it safe and have WAMS do the programming.

Putting in an unprogramed cluster in your truck that isn’t connected to your vin - could theft lock it. This is the case as far as I know; I have nooooo idea how you just put in and it worked.. like it sounds like magic lol got extremely lucky or something.

Having recently upgraded my low beams and now having the aim all dialed in we went for night drive on I-39 and then 50 miles or so of back roads and something caught my attention. I cannot believe how fast people drive under new moon or heavy overcast conditions after dark with lights that are so dim and so yellow you would run over whatever was in your way from any speed over 50 mph before you saw it. Literally driving blind as a bat. Then there are those with ‘blue’ lights that have the range of a AA battery flashlight. Bright as can be….for 25 feet. So you can’t really see anything but you can blind everyone you meet. This made me wonder what other absolutely ridiculous behaviors I might observe if a little attention I paid. I was not disappointed it what I observed. Just a few: (Just the Interstate observations) Large travel trailers pulled by 1500’s whose tongue weight is so high the front is lifted enough to give a visible positive camber and a hideous squat bouncing and swaying and doing 10 to 15 over the speed limit sometimes in packs of three or four following so close if the front one were to sneeze the last one could hold the tissue. Trucks lifted so high I could drive under them and with off road tires, not all terrain mind you but full blown stadium tires bouncing down the road at the same 10+ over the limit with a tire howl you would swear was the Burlington Northern or a herd of wounded buffalo and roll’n coal. If running at night a full complement of behind the grill and roll bar mounted lamps that would light Candlestick park. Trucks with tires so bald and tie rods so bad the wheels never recover their mystic dance from one tar strip to the next pulling a flat bed with a backhoe. Here’s a favorite. The mini spare on the front wheel of a Mitsubishi Mirage doing 80 mph on a 100 degree day and bungie cord holding the hood on. I didn’t even know they could do 80. Some of the fastest cars on the Interstate have but one headlamp and its candles are not all lite nor bright. Every one of these will honk their horn, flash what lights they have and in general act like an arse for your compliance with a 45 mph work zone restriction. Less I forget the Interstate “Gators”. Semi drivers do know that you’re supposed to thump the tires before takeoff and refuse to pull a pick with bad tires, right? Oh that’s right, bikers and smaller vehicles are expendable…silly me…I forgot. I could go on and on…..and on but what’s the point. These morons are not the problem. Problem is a late model perfectly maintained vehicle driven between the legal limits of speed with good tires, brakes, lights and a clear headed properly rested driver not under the influence of anything but sound judgment whose phone in on blue tooth and in the glove box. That guy needs to be tarred and feathered. He’s a public safety menace. That’s one paradigm, and the another would be…….

I thought you are supposed to loop the plastic "strap" over the hook and let the cap hang down. That's what I do.

Found this one this winter, good for us snow belts peeps. Get to your destination and forget to shut your wipers off, and they are stuck mid swipe. Well again in the snow I find it's best to have them parked so as to not burden the motor with heavy wet snow. Anyway all you have to do is shut the wipers off even with the truck shut off, they will come back to life, finish their cycle and park. No need to put the key in and do all that.

Finally got the SuperLift 8” King Suspension lift put on with the Scorpion SC24 22x14 wrapped in some Nitto 35s. Add a leaf and bags are still going in the back.

Well gotta love this. Wednesday when I took the truck in the Service Mgr said- "we were able to replicate the issues, looks like we'll need to keep the truck and install a new transmission". Thursday afternoon he calls "We did a reflash last night and we were unable to replicate the problem, so you are good to go". Huh? This is the third reflash, and the pesky issue keeps re-occurring. I was like "Hey so yesterday you knew the problem existed and the tech was ready to pull the pin on a new tranny, and now it's all hunky-dory?" I called BS on this. Made him document all this, and I opened a case with GM. We'll see.

Thanks for all the replys guys, some great and cost affective cover ideas too. Unfortunately I had to put a cover of some kind because here in BC we get lots of rain and I get a little bit of water on the capless and I figure when I fill up and shove the fuel nosel in it would push that little bit of water and any contaminants down with it. I do get a bit of dust too when I drive on dirt dusty roads. I know its probably nothing to worry about since it so little but I rather have a cover of some kind to keep debris out anyways. True what some say why they can't just use a conventional gas cap or seal the door as well like I see on some car models if they were going to use capless.

Why did they go to capless? Is the concept of a gas cap just too much for some people to handle? Not like anyone is doing NASCAR splash and gos at the local Sinclair station.
