  1. Can you cite any reference to this legislation? I cannot find any reference to it. Thanks.
  2. I'm just thrilled there are performance vehicles readily available again and I'm here to enjoy it. About 1975 I thought there would never be another new car I would care to own!
  3. Changed driver side headlight lamp. Was able to do it with a selection of hooks, screwdrivers and slip joint pliers and minor scratches (on me) vs the the factory procedure of removing the front of the truck. Really could they have come up with a worse design for this?
  4. Pellet gun. But how are rabbits killing your lawn? If they would kill my lawn (5 acres+ to mow) I would import some.
  5. When I wash the wheels on my Hellcat it makes a black river down the driveway from the brake dust.
  6. Assuming they have the car in a heated area you should have no problems just driving 5 miles. If stored outside in the cold it would be a different story. I drove my first Challenger with Goodyear Supercar F1 summer tires a few times at 20F or so and the grip was not much.
  7. A friend of mine bought one just like that, same color a couple of weeks ago. He stopped by and it looked and sounded good and I don't normally like blue cars. Unfortunately I didn't get a ride in it yet because the weather turned cold and it has summer tires.
  8. Your choice but amber turn signals are for Euro and Rice boxes.
  9. I found on my late build 2011 that if I let enough air out that the pressure drops below the low pressure limit (27 lbs I think) the air out relearn method works. This works on 2 sets of TPMS for my summer and winter tires. I'm not sure if I have a 2011 before they made the change or if the low pressure limit tricks it.
  10. These things? https://www.amazon.com/Window-Regulator-1994-1996-Caprice-1990-1996/dp/B00PBZ5F2M
  11. Change the batteries. Then do you have any aftermarket devices in the vehicle? They can create RFI/EMI that interferes with the remote. USB chargers, Cell phone chargers, dash cams, tuners, anything electrical/electronic that stays powered on?
  12. That is an extreme case but the filament metal boils off and deposits on the glass. Therefore the "Chrome Black" description fit well.
  13. Except for the 2000 era Delco side post batteries, every one we had (3 vehicles/3 failures) and everybody I know that had them - leaked out the side post, destroyed the cables, inner fenders, battery trays, etc. I'm glad they got ride of them.
  14. Small job -Installed an extra mount and hidden power cord for my Escort max 360 detector so I can use it in the truck on trips. Normally it lives in the Hellcat. This seems to be a great detector with many features but it is huge.
  15. Finally got my dashcam permanently wired in. It has a controller box that takes battery and ign connections and then runs the camera for a preset time or battery voltage limit is reached. Kind of a pain since the fuses are a "low profile mini fuse" which I did not have nor taps for the same. Had to make some ebay orders to get that squared away but it works great now. I'm not a limber as I once was and cars are smaller than they used to be so a few hours of working in the trunk and interior takes a toll! I installed the same setup in my 2011 Sierra earlier and it was a good bit easier.
  16. Wouldn't it be an easy test to put in a tank of 91 or 93 octane and see if it changes?
  17. As stated by others, it is probably exhaust. Rotten egg smell from exhaust/catalytic converters is likely, it used to be more common than today. The "natural gas" smell is added mercaptan to give natural gas a skunk or rotten egg smell.
  18. That was just a bad job in the beginning installing the trim, defective tape, somebody touched it with dirty gloves, etc. Sounds like your dealer has exceeded his warranty quota for the quarter and isn't want to do anything.
  19. We have Blizzaks on the Jeep and they are very good for a non-studded tire. I always run studded winters on the truck. Our winter is freeze/thaw most every day and a lot of wet ice conditions.
  20. I'll be buried in airtight waterproof capsule long before they become rare NOS status.
  21. Probably depends how much you break but yes $175. I should probably just order one now to insure I never break it. http://www.ebay.com/itm/2015-Dodge-Challenger-SRT-HELLCAT-LOWER-AIR-DAM-OEM-NEW-MOPAR-68258747AB-/191433001152?pt=Motors_Car_Truck_Parts_Accessories&fits=Make%3ADodge&hash=item2c924bc8c0&vxp=mtr&afsrc=1&rmvSB=true
  22. For this one I bought an extra set of the "all seasons" to hope to drive longer in the fall - as long as there is no snow or ice. The Pirelli summer tires state not warranted if they crack or fail below 40F.
  23. Big project of the day - I removed the yellow splitter protectors, looks much better. They are held on with reusable push pins so I put them in the trunk in case they are needed sometime. They could be reinstalled in a minute or so. Then I went and picked up oil for the fist oil change.
  24. Nothing $175 won't fix. I hear the factory protectors go for $50 on ebay but I haven't looked.
