  1. Most everyone who has the crank/no-start update applied reports that the vehicle cranks slightly longer after the update. Presumably the checks that are done after cranking begins, but before the injectors are fired is the reason. Mine seems to crank longer too. I've not heard anyone else comment about the auto stop/start taking longer. I don't think mine takes longer for the restart. Auto restart does a bunch of things different, so I'd not be surprised (but can't verify) if it doesn't do all the same 'pre-start' checks that are done before the first start. I don't recall anyone ever reporting a crank timeout / start when restarting from auto-stop. My 3.0 was at about 17,000 miles and 16 months old before the update was applied. It has never had a crank timeout / no-start. I guess what I'm suggesting is the longer crank at first start is to be expected. Messing around with mine, I find I can reduce foot pressure on the brake enough that it restarts, but does not permit the vehicle to move. It must reach a minimum speed before autostop will activate again, so if brakes pressure reduced enough that the vehicle is allowed to creep ahead to make it start, and then brake pressure again increased to hold vehicle -- it won't re-stop.
  2. Lots of 'successful' relies in all the others threads on this subject. Both on this forum and on other dmax forums.
  3. Maybe, maybe not. 4. Good catch. I had a brain fart. It's the data logging version of the iDash. (they call it DataMonster, iirc) The LED flashes to indicate that it is recording. I'll edit the original post. ( I always run with it logging data, so it would have been blinking) From iDash 1.8 manual: When viewing the Gauge Screen of the primary iDash 1.8, a green dot at the top of the display will flash indicating that the device is logging. When logging is turned off, this dot will not appear.
  5. I think I'd see how I like the factory ZR2 exhaust before popping another +/- $2000. Otoh with the Multimatic DSSV suspension goodies, skid plates etc etc it's already an expensive truck.
  6. The GMAuthority website says a Borla can be ordered for the ZR2, for dealer install, rather than a standard or option from factory. https://gmauthority.com/blog/2022/04/chevy-silverado-zr2-to-be-available-with-borla-performance-exhaust/ From link: According to GM Authority sources, customers will be able to order a Borla performance exhaust system for the Chevy Silverado ZR2 through dealerships. The new exhaust system is tagged with part number 19433388 and priced at $1,799, plus install. Critically, the Chevy Silverado ZR2 Borla performance exhaust system includes exhaust tips that remain tucked-up underneath the rear bumper, just like the standard ZR2 exhaust treatment.
  7. 2020 1500 reg cab 8ft bed is spec'd at 28...
  8. 2020 1500 chev A60 Tailgate, locking, utilizes same key as ignition and door QT2 Tailgate, gate function manual, no EZ Lift QT3 Tailgate, gate function manual with EZ Lift QT5 Tailgate, gate function manual with EZ Lift, includes power lock and release QT6 Tailgate, gate function power up/down with power lock and release
  9. If you speed (mph) isn't at least mid 60's it's likely not in 10th. 2021 3.0 Banks iDash DPF SL - soot load as % REGEN - active or off DPF regen % (indicates as % how close to next recgen; it isn't always the soot load that triggeres regen) LSTRGN - Miles since completion of last regen Boost pressure EGT DEF Level Current gear, and if locked or not (the only time I've seen it unlocks is in first gear and stopped or very close to stopped) This shot taken nearing the end of a regen when towing. (mine usually used as a 2 lane driver and usually regens in the 200 - 300 mile range) I track regens (just cuz I can) and iirc this is the longest regen interval one this truck has had. Black dot on top blue bar is an LED. Blinks (green) during regen. when it is logging data. (camera caught in the 'off' portion of blink) idash can be configured to display any of about a 100 items that the truck monitors. Number and configuration of display is easily changed. 8 is the max it can display at once. Groups of 8 can be saved for easy switching. The data collecting version can save data for many many items at once.
  10. True, but still reduces net profit.
  11. Only lasts about 11 or 12 miles on an LM2, so it's easy to miss. (and GM intends it to be a non-event requiring nothing from the operator)
  12. Does your truck have the Hill Descent feature? Sounds like that's what you might be using.
  13. Park assist (front and rear) is not available on a refreshed Custom either. Yes, on the trims that it is supposed to be 'available' on, there may be restrictions due to the chip thing. Even when the chip problem eliminated, Custom still won't have it. Yes, there are a bunch of safety/technology items standard on all trims of the refreshed trucks. Front and rear ultrasonic park assist isn't one of those either. Features aren't 'gone' from your Custom. They were offered/available on Custom. If you salesperson led you to think your Custom, was supposed to have F/R park assist, then yes they screwed you. Fwiw, Park Assist can be ordered on a Work Truck. It cannot be added to a Custom or Custom Trail Boss. On the LT trim it is available on the 1LT version but not available on the 2FL version.
  14. I've had a bunch of vehicles with park assist. Never had any issue with them in cold or rain. Have had them disable when covered with dirt, snow, sleet etc. If you can get to the sensors connector, make sure it is fully snapped together and hasn't had water or debris contaminate the connection.
  15. Did you get a Custom, as indicated in your avatar? Did the sales person suggest that it should have those features? Order guide doesn't show Front and rear park assist as available on Custom Custom is shown as single zone climate control on lower trims. Dual zone is from LT and above. There have been some that have reported needing repair/replacement of rear vision cameras. UVC Rear Vision Camera Fwiw, there is also a HD rear vison camera available on some trims (but not custom), and standard on higher trims UVC Rear Vision Camera
  16. He joined the day he made the post -- and hasn't 'visited' since 23 Sept 2020.
  17. A7K Seat adjuster, passenger 16-way power including lumbar and massage AT4X and Denali Ultimate are new trim levels. AT4 and 'regular' Denali are still/also available. A7K is only on AT4X and Denali Utimate Chev also uses the A7K code -- but it says 10 way, and no mention of massage. A7K Seat adjuster, passenger 10-way power including lumbar Standard on ZR2, LTZ and HC
  18. If it s a toy so you can 'play' I get your point. Lots of trucks are used work/business, day in and day out. Those owners care about fuel economy -- and likely can't substitute in another vehicle
  19. Cowpie hasn't 'visited' since feb 2020 Maybe someone else has a copy or has made something similar.
  20. Lots of places include a service inspection as part of an oil change service. Sometimes they will find something else that needs to be changed or repaired. They do it because lots of owners may not even know there are other things to check (like a cabin filter).
  21. Assuming it didn't gt unhooked for some reason, adaptive cruise temporarily unavailable can be dirty windshield (in front of where mirror mounts) as that is where the camera it uses is located. I've had it happen after freezing rain when I didn't get all the ice off that spot on the windhield. Can also happen driving into a 'low in the sky' sun, which is blinding the camera. After road curves or sun sets or clouds block sun the problem shoild clear. Lane keep and intellibeam also use cameras. Not sure if they use info from the same one.
  22. Not what you're asking about, but 2500 crew, gas or diesel, standard or long, 2wd or 4wd, and payloads should be over 3000
  23. You probably already have this info but here goes: Doesn't list what trim is used for the numbers (they call it 'nominal equipment'). Option weight added will reduce available payload. The 'weight calculator isn't up yet to assist with option weights. 2022 4wd standard bed refreshed truck (sierra) Base Payload, [w/ LM2 and NHT], lbs. 1830 Base Payload, [w/ LM2], lbs. 1770 (which is a 60 lb difference, not a 200 lb difference) For the short bed 4wd LM2 & NHT 1870 Tow rating 2022.5 crew, standard bed, 4wd LM2 8,800 LM2 & NHT 12,900 So a jump in tow rating, but not much in payload.
  24. Max tow package was not available on 2022LTD 3.0L trucks. It first becomes available with the LM2 on the 2022 refresh trucks (2022.5?) It is not available on all trims.
  25. Post up a picture of the trailer label on the door post of the truck and you'll get interpretation help. For comparision, mine is a denali 4wd with 6.5ft box and the 3.0L diesel. It will weigh different than your elevation diesel, so the payload and curb weight will be different. It is 7200 gvwr, 5834 curb weight and 1366 payload. (yes, gvwr - curb weight = payload) It's conventional trailer weight rating (TWR) is 8800 lbs. 2wd/4wd, double/crew and short/standard box will change how much the elevation diesel is rated to tow. All 2021 LM2 elevations have 3.32 axle ratio.
