  1. So I guess I'm confused. Maybe I misinterpreted the original post. I took it to mean that in a past truck you installed add-on nav, but on current truck it is factory nav? Post by @newdude post seems to suggest he is thinking the current truck is an add-on? Does the current truck you're trying to do this on have factory nav? What year and trim is the truck? Also Did you go thru the settings on the nav (touch screen) AND the settings on the DIC (steering wheel control)? The speed signs are accessed in DIC settings (accessed with steering wheel controls. (there are separate settings for each of the speed sign locations)
  2. Inside the guide you will find: L3B Engine, 2.7L Turbo High-Output, (310 hp [231 kW] @ 5600 rpm, 430 lb-ft of torque [583 Nm] @ 3000 rpm) L84 Engine, 5.3L EcoTec3 V8, (355 hp [265 kW] @ 5600 rpm, 383 lb-ft of torque [518 Nm] @ 4100 rpm); featuring Dynamic Fuel Management L87 Engine, 6.2L EcoTec3 V8, (420 hp [313 kW] @ 5600 rpm, 460 lb-ft of torque [624 Nm] @ 4100 rpm); featuring Dynamic Fuel Management LZ0 Engine, Duramax 3.0L Turbo-Diesel I6 So no details (yet) about the LZ0
  3. Were you using the dic display settings (accessed using steering wheel controls) or the settings on the audio/navi/infotainment system (accessed using the touchscreen)? What year/trim is the truck? And this truck has factory nav?
  4. My onstar expired 12 months (or more) ago. Still have the speed limit display thing working. No onstar. Phone not connected. Speed limit is on dash, not on the nav display. (good thing, because I rarely have the nav display up)
  5. speed limits are from a database stored on the truck
  6. How many gigs of music on the ipod? 2020 Infotainment system supports these file formats - Playing from a USB A USB mass storage device can be connected to the USB port. Audio extensions supported by the USB may include: . FLAC . MP3 . AAC . OGG . 3GP I used itunes to convert my cd collection to mp3 for use on a usb flash drive. I used a Lexar, similar in physical size to what rook126 posted -- but any usb stick should work. One advantage of that physical size is it reduces the change of damage stuff getting caught on it -- and of course not cable to get tangled. If you have a huge amount of files and decide to move/convert them, do a small group first to be sure the method is working as intended.
  7. Can you see/reach the other side?
  8. It's only on mid/high trims -- but I'd guess that if the truck has nav, then it has a trim that includes the speed limit display. It's a DIC setting, needs to be enabled on the 'info pages' tab. It will show on dash (not nav screen) as a white box with the speed limit in black. ( on roads that don't have signs, it doesn't display, even thought 'unsigned' roads have default speed limits) Can also be shown on the HUD if you have that system. iirc, the setting to display the speed limit on the HUD is separate from the one that enables speed limit display on the dash. Fwiw, there is also a selection possible that will give a warning it the speed limit is exceeded. It can be shown will show 2 places on the dash: -- I normally have a different dic page displayed, so only have the speed limit the upper left spot (and on the HUD) -- speed limit is 90kph (about 55mph); truck is set to display 'inch' units, but unit selection does not change the value the truck gets from the speed limit database
  9. There will be 3 stickers on the door post. There are printed specific to the vehicles VIN. Tire and loading info. Trailering information. And one that has 'Manufactured by' info with s/n and the QR code containing highlights of the installed options. The GVWR is definitely in the included information. I have no idea what VA's registration rules are, or if you can 'elect' to register it with a lower GVWR. AFAIK, the only way to get 10,000 GVWR on a 2500 is to order the C7A option. There are restrictions on the C7A option For 2021 2500 Silverado: C7A Lowered GVWR, 10,000 lbs. (4536 kg), lowers GVWR and significantly decreases towing and/or payload ratings. On WT- C*20903, CC20743, CC20753 and CC20953 models require (L8T) 6.6L V8 gas engine. (L5P) Duramax 6.6L Turbo-Diesel V8 engine is not available on the following models: C*20903, CC20743, CC20753 and CC20953. On Custom and High Country - Not available with (YF5) or (NE1) Emissions. On LT - C*20903, CC20743, CC20753 and CC20953 models require (L8T) 6.6L V8 gas engine. When ordered with (ZW9) pickup bed delete, includes hard touch instrument panel-top pad. (L5P) Duramax 6.6L Turbo-Diesel V8 engine is not available on the following models: C*20903, CC20743, CC20753 and CC20953. 10. We have no idea if 23.5 is happening or not.
  11. They were taking orders by then, but they weren't building the new 1500's until later than that.
  12. As in model year 24...
  13. Different wants and needs. There is a reason they offer multiple powertrain and suspension options.
  14. Driving a Ram is ok ...... as long as nobody you know sees you....
  15. What do you want to do with it? Truck puller? Drag racer?
  16. OR it could be like the 1500's are currently doing. Be announced sometime next fall and arrive as a '23.5 in about 12 months
  17. The impact of higher aero load has a bigger effect than the reduction in internal windage losses from running a few 100 rpm slower. At least on my 3.0 truck. Gets better mileage at 55 than at 65, and better at 65 than at 75. (45 seems to be better than 55, but I don't encounter long stretches where I need to steadily run that speed.) At steady 55 the truck stays in 9th. At steady 65 it will be in 10th.
  18. Thanks for verifying. I ask these questions because sometimes I learn that how I thought something works was incorrect.
  19. Preferably with alligator clips....
  20. Fwiw, the starter used on a stop/start truck is not the same one as used on the non stop/start engines. I have no idea if they still use the stop/start starter on the trucks that don't have the chip/module to operate it. There is a long explanaton of the difference in the upfitter docs.
  21. Didn't LMM use the main injectors to add extra fuel during the exhaust stroke? I thought the injectors in the exhaust system (DEF and fuel) came with the LML.
  22. Doesn't help if wanting to run a 1500, but the 25/35's have a 36 gallons tank. In a 1500, the 3.0 diesel is less than the 6.2.
  23. Both exterior and interior changes and also new trim levels. The 2022's listed as 2022 LTD are the same as the 2021 models. GMC and Chev websites now have pics and info about both. The new versions (refreshed or 2022.5?) were announced in the fall and are now in production (starting in the last month or so).
  24. Maybe they'll drop them, but not for 2023 model. Listed for 2023 1500 pickups L3B Engine, 2.7L Turbo High-Output, (310 hp [231 kW] @ 5600 rpm, 430 lb-ft of torque [583 Nm] @ 3000 rpm) L84 Engine, 5.3L EcoTec3 V8, (355 hp [265 kW] @ 5600 rpm, 383 lb-ft of torque [518 Nm] @ 4100 rpm); featuring Dynamic Fuel Management L87 Engine, 6.2L EcoTec3 V8, (420 hp [313 kW] @ 5600 rpm, 460 lb-ft of torque [624 Nm] @ 4100 rpm); featuring Dynamic Fuel Management LZ0 Engine, Duramax 3.0L Turbo-Diesel I6 All have restrictions regarding trims, transmissions, 2wd/4wd, etc. LZ0 is the only one that doesn't have hp/tq listed (I guess we gotta be patient) New for '23 tabs say: GMC Sierra /Denali 1500 Deletions (GAN) Quicksilver Metallic (GSK) Cayenne Red Tintcoat (Q7L) 22" x 9" (55.9 cm x 22.9 cm) Low Gloss Black Aluminum Wheels with Machined Accents New Features (GXD) Sterling Metallic (GNT) Volcanic Red Tintcoat (GXN) Deep Bronze Metallic (SMR) 22" x 9" (55.9 cm x 22.9 cm) midnight painted aluminum wheel with machining and bright Chrome Inserts Changes (PED) Sierra safety plus package content is now standard on 4SB RPO change on (LM2) 3.0L Duramax Turbo-Diesel is now (LZ0) 3.0L Duramax Turbo-Diesel Chevrolet Truck Silverado 1500 Deletions (GAN) Silver Ice Metallic (GSK) Cherry Red Tintcoat (LM2) 3.0L Duramax Turbo-Diesel I6 engine New Features (GNT) Radiant Red Tintcoat (GXD) Sterling Gray Metallic (GXN) Harvest Bronze Metallic (HF0) Jet Black/Umber Interior available on High Country (3LZ) (LZ0) 3.0L Duramax Turbo-Diesel I6 engine (VQE) Protection film
