  1. I just put a deposit down on a 2022 Red Hot LT. I'm really liking what you did with the front grille. what were the parts and I'm assuming you had the dealer paint the bar cover Red Hot. Can you give me the details? I'm expecting to get my truck just before thanksgiving.
  2. I know that on trips from my home in North East Texas to College Station I averaged 25-27 mpg. Dependent on traffic and how big of a hurry I was in. Included in these measurements was my around town driving in CSTAT. I'm going to use those trips as a baseline and report back after I make two or three of them. With Football season over for my Aggies this could take awhile. I've been looking at different tires to exchange with the stock tires. I have a hunch that tire weight has a bigger impact than Aerodynamics on MPG. I've run the Wrangler SR-A's on my 2014. Hated them. I've also run the Cooper Zeon's on my 2007. Loved those tires. But I think my Mileage suffered.
  3. Before and After. GM Part number 84993582 Trail Boss Lift kit installed on a 2021 Short Box Z71 3.0 Duramax. Currently running stock wheels and tires. 275/60/r20. I think the After picture is skewed causing it to look like it's dragging a bit. I'll get to see it tomorrow when I get home.
  4. Does this setup rub any? I'm installing the GM TB Lift and I'm looking at keeping my wheels like your.
  5. I’m getting this code very often since we started getting cooler here in Texas. I’m going to look for this issue in the morning. Thanks for your post.
  6. My Opinion it's all about Margin and not about marketing. If they were to make a single short wide available here in the USA they would loose sales on Colorado's and entry level crew cabs. They make a higher margin on these vehicles. So to keep their profits high they don't sell these trucks here.
  7. Mine covers the stake holes and I have to lift it up slightly to gee the tail gate to close. It sounds like you have a cover for a shorter bed. I can get you pictures and measurements this evening.
  8. I recently bought a used GM Tri-fold soft/hard cover. I've run the truck through two car washes and have had no leaks so far. The person I bought it off of was changing it out for a quad fold that he could open front and read of the bed. Really pleased with this top.
  9. Pontoon boats are big air sails. Are you towing it with the top up? Check and see if you can lower the awning for towing and storage. I routinely pull a scout trailer loaded to the gills. The only time I had trouble was when a surge brake was hung up and dragging me back. I pulled into a parking lot and back the trailer up about 200 feet to clear the brake. Everything all good after that. Double Post edited away
  10. As a Scout Master, thank you for pulling the troop trailer! Typically it is hooked to my bumper. I also run a higher octane when pulling the trailer or just going on long trips. I've noticed it does make a difference. It always amazes me how much that boy scout trailer can weigh, then take a group of 12 to Philmont and you can go in 2 suburbans, no trailer and the rear doesn't even squat. Truck / Trailer camping is so much heavier.
  11. FIXED!!!! Just picked up my truck and I can finally say that my seat issue has been remedied. They installed the clips and lubed the appropriate places. No more seat shift!
  12. Dropped by the dealer this morning. Finally got the service manager to pull the bulletin and my parts are now on order. May be I get this fixed before we hit 40K miles.
  13. Update on my truck. The ticket is still open on the seat issue on my truck. The owner of the dealership told me they are researching what needs to be done to correct my issue. All of my other problems have been taken care of. Even the tire pressure sensor. Embarrassingly it appears I may have had a small leak in that tire.
  14. I just dropped my truck off at the dealer for the transfer case recall. Again I listed the seat movement issue with the service writer. I also listed a pressure sensor going bad on the right front wheel. It constantly is reading 27psi... When my tire gauge and house compressor shows it at 35. Something may get done this time, the service writer seemed very knowledgeable about the seat, the recall and the sensor.
  15. You guys bring up a good point. I've lost 25 pounds since January and man, my seat doesn't seem to move near as bad. I suppose if I'd loose another 20 like my plan is it will not move at all...
  16. My seat still moves, it is not as pronounced and does not make as loud a noise as before but it is still doing it. I think I'm going to wait until it is really bad and noticeable then take it back in.
  17. So After leaving my truck with the dealer last Friday and taking a loaner to go back to work, they called a couple of hours later and said the mechanic could find nothing wrong with my seat. He "tightened a few things up" and has put the seat back in my vehicle. I'm just a little frustrated. I told the dealership that I would pick the vehicle up and that if the problem persisted or returned that I expected them to Follow the PI-1138 that they had printed and sent to the mechanic. I've driven the truck in regular fashion over the weekend and to date the seat has not moved, or made noise. We shall see. What is frustrating is that I explained the problem in detail, the service writer found the PI-1138 on her own without me mentioning it and sent it to the mechanic. The Mechanic chose to ignore the information in PI-1138, then chose to ignore the complaint that the seat moves when turning or breaking, did a cursory pulling of the seat and really did nothing to fix the issue other than "Tighten a few things up."
  18. I'm at the dealership now. Service writer found the PI 1138 on her own and hopefully it will get fixed today. I'm at the dealership now. Service writer found the PI 1138 on her own and hopefully it will get fixed today.
  19. So far no smell and really no other issues. This is the best truck I have ever owned. If I had not been told that the rear slider was on a recall list I would have never known it. I'm supposed to schedule my first oil change visit this week and the seat issue has been mentioned.
  20. Thanks, I think I'm going to talk to my dealer about it and see. I know they are waiting for parts on my rear window, might as well get the seat parts on order too.
  21. Is there a bulletin out on this yet? Has anyone gotten a fix that works? My seat seems to be moving more often and the clunck has lessened in noise.
  22. I decided to raise my sitting position over the weekend and guess what.... yep I have the same thing happening. Have not asked the wife or son about the passenger seat. When cornering the seat shifts and you hear a clunk... I lowered the seat back to where I was siting before and it went away. I think I'll wait till there is a fix before I take it to the dealer...
  23. These are Stainless 4" Raptors.... I'm Really liking them. http://www.raptorseries.com/4inch-cl-oe-oval-tubes.php
  24. So, I've been babying this thing and getting suck for mileage. Yesterday I smoked the tires leaving a green light. My 2007 would never do that. Ever since doing so my mileage average is bumping up... Starting to believe there is Merit in Breaking it in... Just hope I don't get a ticket doing so... 2014 Z71 1LTZ Crew Cab Standard Box with no cover or spray liner. 3:42 Gears 1862 Miles Best MPG is 19.5 But I do not know when or what speed. Average is now 17.0 The numbers are nice but it's hard to compare with others unless you know what you are comparing to.
