  1. 102k on my 14 high country. trans shit the bed around 96k. they threw parts at it until it was fixed. I had the hard downshift/hunting for gear upshifts. trans still sucks but nowhere near as bad
  2. stock wheels and 35's have problems rubbing control arms/sway bar suspension stuff. if you have aftermarket wheels with 0 offset and you hammered the fenders in with a 2.5" rc level, I bet they would fit. mine have like 1/4"-1/2" space. but I also have the 1.5" body and a -12 wheel. My 35" tires only measured out to 34.25" as well
  3. I have the RC 2.5 and a 1.5" body lift and did some metal trimming the "Norcal" mod. no rub. just a 2.5 level would rub
  4. 26mpg...is your truck the configuration in your details? the crew cab short bed? you hand calculating that?
  5. yeah that's basically the same drivetrain as our trucks so we should all make it to 300k no problem
  6. its just the crappy transmission tuning that comes in these trucks...totally normal
  7. 99,800 on my 2014 high country something in the trans went at 92k. they did the converter, valve bodies, and internal stuff. after the 5th time at the dealer its fixed seat clicks chevy shake...after I put my 35's on it shakes a little less truck is a shitbox
  8. I have 35x12.5's on -12 wheels with a 1.5" body lift and a 2.5" level kit and I went mudding this weekend. I did finally get them to rub my fender liners a tiny bit. doesn't hurt anything
  9. what ever happened to the good old hand calcs? the DIC isn't always accurate. mine constantly says my max mpg was 25mpg. it was probably when I was going down a big hill with a tailwind. when I hand calc each tank I consistently get 17-18mpg. my DIC tells me 19-20 mpg average so its 1-2 mpg off always
  10. 35x12.5R20 mud claws on 20x10 Fuel Mavericks -12 offset 1.25" ebay special block under front strut, 3" ebay special block in the rear Zone 1.5" body lift NorCal fender Mod/ Zip tied fender liners No rub
  11. I don't know about that, my 2004 Silverado I traded in for my 2014 got a consistent 20mpg. and it had 212k when I traded it in. same cab config and both 4wd trucks. both 100% stock. doesn't matter much now, with my new 35" tires ill be lucky to get double digit mpg
  12. mine got 15 city/17-18 highway when it was 100% stock. its funny they have all this fuel saving technology on these shitboxes but they still get horrible mpg
  13. yep I did the same thing when I was looking into new trucks. I could've cared less for all the other things the LTZ has besides the sweet headlights. but the lights are huge money and then you have to buy the correct wiring for them so I gave up on it and bought a used high country. The aftermarket needs to make this an easy swap
  14. im going to try for the lemon law as hard as I can. im sick of having to leave work early to take this shitbox to the dealer who cant fix it. im going to try to legally fcuk them as much as possible
  15. well I just got the call. GM corporate will not allow a new transmission to be installed in the truck. When I asked if the truck was fixed I was told yes the transmission has nothing wrong internally. Which means no they didn't do anything. This sucks. Whats the point of a warranty if GM wont allow the parts the truck needs? I took 2 of their mechanics for rides in the truck on 2 different occasions and both times the mechanics agreed something in the trans was not right and the truck needed service. I guess I have to start all the lemon law paperwork and bullshit. Fun Fun. **** these new silverado transmissions
  16. mine will do the same. some days its smooth other days it slams gears
  17. 96,550 on my 14 high country slight vibration at 73-80 mph not enough to bother me. my real problem is the shitty transmission. it has the usual sluggish feeling but it has pretty common hard downshift from 3-2 and 2-1. I guess chevy doesn't have a fix for it only way to fix is an aftermarket tune and void the rest of my warranty. I have a feeling these trucks are going to be worthless in 3-5 years once all these issues and transmission woes come out. I have talked so many people out of buying new 16's and 17's. I tell them when they go for the test drive see if they like how sluggish the transmission is. press the pedal 90% of the way down and it does nothing. only way to fix it is a $600 warranty voiding aftermarket tune
  18. well I went back to the dealer on Thursday when it was acting up again. They plugged it in and didn't find anything weird because there was no check engine light on and mechanics nowadays have no idea what to do if there isn't a light on. They began to feed me the BS that its normal. Funny thing is the guy in the service department didn't know that my truck has been there for trans work twice in the past 2 weeks (once for a converter, and 5 days later for valve body). So after he began to tell me its normal I dropped the bomb on him that 2 of his mechanics drove the truck on different occasions and agreed that my downshifts were not "normal" and they took it in for warranty work. I also told him the 2016 Silverado's they gave me for rentals didn't shift like that. So he shut up real quick about it being normal. I got the whole conversation recorded on my phone in my pocket. He ultimately told me to bring the truck back Monday because that's when the transmission guy would be in. So I dropped it off yesterday. If it isn't fixed this time I am getting a lawyer and going with the lemon law. This is the 3rd time for the same problem. I'm so done with these shitty transmissions. I'll wait to see if they fix my truck before I post up the name of the dealer and my phone conversation. Its time for them to step up and replace my transmission.
  19. no change at all. matter of fact it did the usual downshift as I pulled out of the service lot each time I picked it up. banged a U-turn and dropped it back off. now they are saying they've tried it all and theres no fix...but they agree somethings wrong. im not sue what to do here and my warranty is almost up. I get the whole tuned for MPG thing, but the dam truck doesn't even get good mpg lol. my 2004 Silverado I traded in for this 2014 had 212,000 on it and got 19mpg religiously. this shitbox only gets 17-18
  20. mine does it at about those same rpms and rises to those same rpms, but it will do it no matter how hard I brake. the weirdest part is some days it doesn't do it, other days it does. my truck has 96,500 on it. dealer just did the torque converter and valve bodies this week. I would think if GM knew a tune would fix it, they would make a tune instead of replacing expensive tranny parts. but hey I don't care what they do to try and fix it since its under warranty
  21. whats the point of a warranty then? I agree with you the aftermarket tune would fix it. now that's $600 out of my own pocket to fix what should have been fixed for free under warranty.
  22. so I guess theres nothing that can be done
  23. theres no way this is normal. my truck does it intermittently 75% of the time. the other 25% of the time it drives as it should
  24. my 14 high country has the hard downshift syndrome. bad from the 3-2 shift and horrible from 2-1 nearly screeches the tires. Ive taken it to the dealer twice now, torque converter replaced first time. same problem, then valve bodies replaced, same problem. so many threads about this issue...where is the fix? I've read countless threads and no one could seem to make this issue go away. aftermarket tuning is out of the question for me. not going to void warranty.
