  1. I have had two rattles in the lower dash beneath the steering column. The first was the cable to the hood release. The cable actually seemed to be vibrating within itself. I zip tied the cable to something under the dash and that solved that problem. The other vibration is coming from behind the lower dash panel to the left of the steering wheel. I can get under there and hear the sound of I tap the panel but can't find what's causing it to fix it. When driving if the sound starts, sometimes just banging on that panel gets it to stop. This one is driving me nuts. I'm nervous to remove that whole panel and getting under there to look requires positions that are far from comfortable. I have sensitive ears - rattles drive me insane. 2. Now take that dealer decal off the back, please!!!! Looks so much better without and don't be someone's free advertising. It's so simple with a hair dryer, and a microfiber to buff afterwards. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  3. Was worth a shot. I assume you've also deleted and repaired your phone as well. That's all I've got : (. Good luck and glad to hear the infotainment folks want to help. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  4. Did you check to see if the Bluetooth setting in your phone have changed? Check that settings for that Bluetooth device and make sure notifications or any other settings might be configured properly. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  5. That looks like a nice tonneau. I just went with a tonnopro lo roll and I do love it, but yours looks a little cleaner at the tailgate. I have to pop my tonnopro and roll it back one roll then close the tailgate to get the seal to sit properly with mine. Not a big deal, but I would have preferred a system that allowed me to just open and close my tailgate without having to pop the cover every time. I don't open it all that often so not a huge deal, but convenience is key. How do you like it? Does it seem like it will seal out water well? Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  6. I checked my reflection behind another vehicle, and when I turn off my auto lights my DRL are NOT on. I have a 2015 Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  7. Oh, maybe that's it. I'll have to check my reflection next time I can to see if they are on when auto is off. Didn't think about that. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  8. Okay, just trying to help. Mine has never loaded my text messages and I don't believe it is supposed to. It will only show a new message you received from when you started the truck. That's for safety. They don't want you looking at your old messages. Good luck with getting that figured out. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  9. What kind of phone do you have Wildwilt? My text interaction has been working perfectly, even the Siri eyes free function where I can dictate whatever I want to say in a message. I don't think I've received a text message with a picture while in my truck but nervous now, that if I get one it will screw it up. Question - has the issue only been with text messages from the same person? You might want to try deleting that whole message conversation from your phone and see if that helps. Maybe the way that text came through is now making the truck see it oddly. I would delete that string of messages and the. Have that person, or your wife or something, send you a new one so you can test it. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  10. Here's my bedrug...installed a couple days ago but just got a chance to take a couple pics Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  11. I didn't have time to read this but I'm pretty positive my DRL turn off on my Silverado if I just turn off the automatic headlights function. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  12. Yeah, I noticed that being in and out of there today a few times. Works for me. Not sure about the bedrug over spray. It uses 3M heavy duty adhesive Velcro tape to hold it down so that might not stick. They do make just the bottom piece though Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  13. Ahhh that does seem like an easier solution. Still not perfect but will do. Thanks man. You've been a huge help. If you have any questions about the bedrug let me know. I can't say enough good things about it. Install isn't too bad either and it came out looking pretty factory. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  14. I'll take better photos later but here is a quick shot of the bed rug with the tonnopro installed as well. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  15. I got the bedrug off of Amazon for $320 shipped, and it's the official OEM version with the big bow tie Logo on the panel by the cab/bulkhead. Best mod ever. It is incredible. I sat in there and listened to tunes with some beers last night. It's so comfortable AND fully functional. Best part is the padding and it makes the truck bed perfectly flat. Here's the bedrug link - this is for the 5'8" box: Genuine GM Accessories 22892013 Bed Rug https://www.amazon.com/dp/B00FMUZ15W/ref=cm_sw_r_awd_tOqgwbBCN8C8P I have a question for you on the tonnopro lo roll. The seal at the tailgate - do you leave that little flap/water seal folded/squeezed against the tailgate? Or do you pull it up on top? I love the cover but feel like that deal would work best on top of the tailgate, but I find I have to pull it up on top every time I shut it or it gets squeezed in there and doesn't seem like it will keep water out that way. 16. I got my new Tonnopro Lo Roll tonneau cover installed. I'll post some pics when I get some better light. Also have a bedrug coming tomorrow. Cannot wait to get that in my bed. So looking forward to camping out of the back of my truck. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  17. Also, I really want to know what the one dude was talking about where he said the lawyer said they know what the issue is but it would be too expensive to fix. Someone should start a matrix to track all the different confirmed build dates, model years, models, and configurations that have the vibration issue so we can look for a pattern in build, model, configuration. It sounds like pretty much every model/config can be affected but it would be nice to see laid out. I'd be happy to put a spreadsheet together that could track this if someone can help with getting people to populate it. Once i have some data I could run some reports to break it down and see if there is an area where the problem appears to be more prevalent. Let me know if anyone wants to work on that. 18. Man I need to stay away from these threads unless I Start having a problem. I am so in love with my truck, I would be completely mortified if this started happening. It really scares me that it seems to crop up for some people too. At first I thought this issue sounded like most people had it from the get go and that since I didn't I was lucky/out of the woods, but I'm seeing more and more of the posts where people were vibration free and then it started. I've got about 900 miles on mine and so far so good (knocking on wood). I have my second baby coming in January and am so busy with life and work I would be losing my fricking mind if I were dealing with this. I feel so bad for you folks, I really do. I truly hope they figure out a way to cure this. They are such beautiful trucks otherwise. I can't even imagine what this will do to resale values for these model years as well. This really is criminal at this point. I would be so pissed if they kept tearing apart my brand new truck trying different crap too. No one should have their brand new truck screwed with this much. Who knows what other issues they are causing every time they tinker with it. Seriously, best of luck to all you poor souls...I feel for you, I truly do. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  19. I use aerospace 303 as well. You can get it on anazon. Works excellent to keep black plastics looking new. Great for vinyl tonno covers as well. I learned about it from a jeep forum - kept my soft top looking brand new. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  20. Thanks man. I'm actually pretty good at soldering - my Mom used to repair computer boards when I was a young buck, and when she got behind at work and had to bring it home she used to let me help her. If it's just running the wires down along the bottom of the truck, that doesn't seem too bad. I'd be more nervous if I had to pull up interior pieces to route the wires - that's where I get nervous. The mechanical install in the tailgate should be no issue for me. I think I'm gonna take this on. I just picked up a tonneau and really want to to be able to control the lock with my fob. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  21. I really want to do this, but I'm nervous. This sounds slightly out of my comfort zone, although I am really handy. Is it really that easy? This forum is simply incredible. I have already done and learned a ton about my truck from you folks. Great community. I've been on a lot of forums for various topics, and this is certainly the best one I've been a member of. 22. Pretty sweet right? Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  23. Yep - cargo light button definitely still works like normal. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  24. Thanks Mike - that makes me feel better about it! That would be pretty funny if they offer that - I wonder what they would charge. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  25. Mike's correct in that the cargo area stays lit only as long as the lights normally stay on when you hit your unlock on the fob. I dig that though - nice easy way to check your load with just your fob at night. Since I added two diodes, one going each way, the other added benefit is that now when you turn on your cargo lights with the switch on the console, the reverse lights will come on, which gives you added visibility when loading stuff behind the truck at night. In that scenario, the reverse lights stay on for 20 minutes, which is the set timer for the cargo light switch. It also turns the cargo lights on when you are put the truck in reverse. If you have the backup camera it adds a little extra visibility at nighttime. I like it so far. My only concern is the dealership noticing it and busting my chops about my warranty. It's pretty obvious when you unlock the truck and the cargo light come on. I just can't see how they could blame this mod on any substantial issues. If I take it in for anything electrical related, I will pull the diodes out first. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
