  1. sorry i am more familiar with K2 truck parts, not sure what a Dmax T1 set up looks like. i keep drifting into the T1 forum accidentaly
  2. there is an engagement motor that controls a clutch pack inside the t-case, if the throw out lever is stuck it wont be able to shift the t-case, could even be the motor drive is toasted or binding
  3. data log your Map sensor , and post a clip of that. curious what pressure you read at idle in the manifold , warmed up?
  4. yes, log the gear and tcc PIDS easy japanesy!
  5. not bad but i doubt it out performs the factory design. only thing better is the Dmax ram air hood and induction, parts cost is $600 not counting painting the new hood
  6. merry Christmas.!. what kind of presents are you getting your family this year? I'm wrapping up cans of Beans , bags of Rice, Pasta and an assortment of ammunition to hide around the house. *2021 might get rough, i hope it calms down.
  7. any chance he could just install the ZL1 or CTS-V ecu program into the truck and run great without a tuner and dyno work?
  8. If possible find a set of Japanese made bearings from a Jap manufactuer if you can cross ref. from GM part number isuzu npr 4500HD's might work better
  9. why bother, your killing the resale value and if you drive on the street its hardly worth the effort.
  10. why delete them?
  11. your catching water... JUst curious but... what is the climate like in the area you drive? do you make short driving trips during the day? is there a yellow snot like substance under the oil fill cap?
  12. how much Torque Management did your tuner take out ? I'm still hoping one of you hot rodders will bolt on some Doug Thorley Tri-Y's headers...
  13. i will dig into some of the TM this weekend.. but first step in shutting off TCC 1-4th gear. i'm still understanding the software and where everything is located. got a link to any of your suggested research vids on youtube? i'm trying to figure out how to limit the amount of gear kickdown(passing gear) on the 6l80. there been times i was in Drive, stomped the pedal and i swear I'm in 2nd gear from 6th. crazy stuff.
  14. thats because Tow Haul reduces the TCC lock up if not completely disables it this is th main issue with GM's trans tun, they lock the TCC in every gear. 1-6th. causes heavy wear on the clutch and your guys who never popped the t-stat out are frying your TCC clutch as the torque converter is atleast 100 degrees hotter than displayed on the Trans temp gauge
  15. i got rid of mine, i just wasn't catching much. 5000 miles i had maybe a table spoon full. i did switch to the non DexOS oil , redline 5w-30 full synth. and a 175 thermostat. not sure if being 20-30 degrees cooler is affecting the reduced oil consumption.
  16. did you do the Fast Learn procedure while in HPT? it should clean up the shifts. try do it every oil change as part of maintnance
  17. All you guys can save a lot of time and trouble if you would just take the truck to a professional tuner and void the warrante. Just ask to have the trans tuned for reliabilty not racing. you'll be back on the road and happy with correct shifts and cool running transmission. the factory transmission map is horrible and will barely get you to 100K miles before tear down
  18. i will call HPtuners and ask them they should know
  19. see if they can to the "fast learn procedure" on the 10 speed.. i did this on my 6 speed and it cleaned up the shifts. you need HPtuners or GMs computer interface tool
  20. i like the filming too,
  21. you want a refreshing experience... try sitting in a early 1990's GM car. it will blow your mind. the level of comfort and roomyness it's amaizing. i sat in a 90's Caprice the otherday, zero technology and no gadgets. it was a thrill to drive
  22. evening tv dinner show for me..
  23. Precision Trans does a tear down on the 6l80/90e trans
  24. consult the repair manual. requires a subscription at "all data.com" non acid lead batteries run at this high voltage of 15-16 volts AGM older lead acids run at 13.8
  25. if its the TCC in the converter causing the vibe, i suggest having a tuner ad more line pressure to the clutch, and correct input/output rpm slip table, then only engage the tcc at 5-6th gears, stock tune has the tcc locking in all gears, this is wearing out the tcc clutch dont forget to do a Fast Trans re-learn after its set up..
