  1. As much as I have been waiting for the red letters the white on black looks great. Message inbound.
  2. Added running board lights tied into the puddle lamps.
  3. Yes. This thread explains it and shows it well. https://www.silveradosierra.com/threads/bilstein-clunk.649257/
  4. If you or whoever did your install did not use the factory Top Nut on the shock this could be where you're at noises coming from. The ones supplied by Bilstein do not have the built-in washer flare that the factory nuts do. Search this thread and you will see it mentioned.
  5. Wonder how an electric exhaust cut out would sound?
  6. (fuel pump driver control module) sounds more like an electronics issue rather than it "eating fuel pumps".
  7. I didn't take any pictures of the wire routing. I ran the wires through a frame cross member near the back of the cab. Then up the frame rail toward the front. I picked up ground from the frame under the front of the cab. I ran the power wire into the cab via the E brake cable grommet, under the carpet and up to the left kick panel to the BCM. I used a posi tap to tap the puddle lamp circuit which is on BC module X7 pin #8.
  8. This is a mod I did on my last two 1500's. It puts nice light on the running boards. I used MICTUNING 60" LED light strips and tied into the puddle lamp circuit in the BCM. This way when the puddle lamps come on such as when unlocking the doors these come on.
  9. Tinted the windows on the green house.
  10. No sure why this works, but it made a HUGE difference.
  11. I don't feel it's a rotor/pad issue rather a boost issue. The pedal travel is so far down, but it will stop. A few pumps of the brake pedal will firm my pedal pressure greatly while also allowing for the brakes to activate at the top of the stroke rather than nearly at the bottom.
  12. No you tube videos for me. As for the USA you have look at the tread sideways to see it. If you look from the wheel looking into the wheel well after the shoulder blocks the first tread red block resembles a u, they center one resembles an S, and the next one resembles an A. I currently don't have any worries about them being lightweight, that was one of the big selling points for me. 3750# carrying capacity and fifty thousand mile tread warranty which is the same or better rating and some tires weighing 14 lb more a piece. Time will tell I guess, only have a thousand miles on them currently.
  13. No longer available.
  14. @03 Cobranever bad question, can't learn if you don't ask. This article does a good job explaining catch can use and benefits. https://www.roadandtrack.com/car-culture/buying-maintenance/a27182434/how-oil-catch-can-works/
  15. I repurposed the UPR catch can that I previously had on my 2018 GMC Sierra 1500. The Kit UPR sells for the 6.6 liter gas has longer hoses and installs on the battery bracket. I found the bracket for the auxiliary battery tray work perfectly. My current hoses or a little longer than necessary but nothing too bad, overall easy to install and I'm happy with it.
  16. Wheel Nut Torque 190 Y 140 lb ft
  17. There is an alternate method that you sometime I have to use which involves pressing the learn button on the opener itself. Several videos on you tube
  18. For you guys I have installed this does your truck have the progressive steering? Also, would it be that much of a benefit of for an unlifted, stock tire size truck?
  19. @newdudeis correct. I use L often during my daily driving just see if it makes any difference in milage. Such as allowing the truck to coast rather than downshifting. At normal speeds 50-60 mine always shifts to 4th. Lower speeds it usually drop 1 gear below the current gear in use.
  20. No because you have not factored your weight as the driver and any other passengers and gear/cargo.
  21. Goodyear trailrunners had to go. Though they have decent road manners I do take my truck off road during hunting season and whenever I am chasing firewood scores. I decided on the Firestone Destination X/T in stock size LT275 65R20. These are a hybrid tread with the three-peak mountain snowflake designation. They weigh 52 lbs a piece which is only 2 lbs heavier than the GY's. Tread depth is 16/32 vs 12/32 for the GY's. On road hwy driving they are only slightly louder. They handle well around town and at parking lot speeds. No rain currently so I'll have to wait and see how they do. Limited off road use they did well. The below picture of the truck I backed up the hill in 2wd, no spin what so ever. Made in Canada but the tread spells out USA!
  22. I have an SLT with the the surround vision. I use it often. I find it very useful especially parking. The hood is huge on these trucks without the camera I always thinking I'm about to fit vehicles next to me while parking. Not to mention thinking I'm a foot away from something in front of me only to find out I'm 10 feet away from it. My only complaint is the camera must be toggled on to see what's in front of you. Our RX 350 automatically toggles at speeds below 8 to 5 miles an hour.
  23. Man I feel for you. Sure hope this ends your problems and you can move on to using and enjoying your truck.
  24. How many Fleet buyers do you think adhere to the break-in? Contractors and repair businesses buy these new and turn them over to their Crews and off they go. Some with utility boxes loaded with tools and supplies, others towing land scape trailers or trailers loaded with building supplies. Pretty sure they are stressing the 500 mile "break in".
