  1. Added a little color contrast to the door panels. The picture does not show the true color which is orange. I had some piping leftover from doing my 1500 SLT. I may order some red and replace the orange.
  2. I can't even get it to work with android auto which I would be OK with.
  3. Great write up. Enjoy your new truck and thank you for your service.
  4. No longer available: UPR Catch can with check valve, extra O rings fits 6.2. Traded the truck no longer needed. $130 Shipped lower 48
  5. Finally got my rattle fixed. Took it in yesterday, and they said they couldn't hear it. I took 2 techs on ride and pointed it out multiple times. They took it back into the shop and proceeded to take a part the console and dash parts test driving several times and isolating the noise. Turns out it was a missing retainer in part of the ventilation system behind the dash. I picked it up today, and it's like a totally different vehicle, quiet at all speeds and road surfaces.
  6. Traded my 2015 GMC Sierra 1500 SLT 4x4 6.2 for this beast. 2021GMC Sierra 2500HD SLT 4x4 6.6 gasser.
  7. Had my intermediate steering shaft replaced last Monday and they also noted a heater hose isolation fix. Neither got rid of the rattle noise. At first I thought it was coming from the steering column, but now I think it is more from the dash. Going back in Tuesday to try and figure it out.
  8. I'd make them give me a loaner at least comparable to yours. Trailblazer can't haul 16000#
  9. I can definitely tell a difference in the pedal firmness after pumping it a couple of times. Sure wish there was a better answer.
  10. Did they give you a loaner? If so I'd be treating it like a $20 yard sale lawnmower.
  11. My 2018 1500 would alert me to an incoming text when on Android auto. I could press the OK button on the steering wheel and it would read it aloud to my and it would also show up on the DIC who it was from. I will get the alert on my 21HD, but it will not read it aloud. Am I missing something here?
  12. I have had 3 different GM's with the coco dune interiors. Other than feeling like the tan seat color was a bit bland I liked it. When I got ready for my new 2021 HD I was ready for something different, and that was going to be black, because in my mind there was no way brown and grey would look good together. Boy was I wrong! I absolutely love the dark walnut /slate combo. I do have leather seating, but it just looks so upscale. Glad I went with it over black.
  13. My 21 fits in my garage, but only by a couple of INCHES. I moved up from an 18 GMC 1500 so this is significantly bigger. The honk is a reminder that the fob is in the vehicle or you left the vehicle with the engine running.
  14. Just throwing this out there, but after driving the truck for almost a week now I have found that a single pump of the brakes immediately provide a firmer pedal.
  15. The extra camera views are definitely nice to have. I too think a little more thought should have been put into the ease of operation. An icon at the bottom of the home page would be very useful.
  16. Read that part, and understand it. I haven't tried it out yet, but I will. I did find the reverse to drive toggle though it works it be much nice if the camera would just come on at speeds below say 5 mph.
  17. I'm trying to figure if I'm missing something or not here. My rear camera comes on when I am in reverse, and I have camera view set to split screen and also show the front view. However when front parking at slow speed the camera will not trigger unless I select the camera icon on the infotainment screen. Is there a way to have it come up automatically? My wife's RX350 will at under 5mph and it is very handy.
  18. My 18 half ton didn't have the most positive brakes to me. My 21 HD is OK, but does require some effort. DI motors in the half ton trucks have a auxiliary vacuum pump because they don't make enough vacuum during cylinder deactivation. I know the HD series don't have cylinder deactivation but I'm wondering if there is any relationship.
  19. Reviving the dead here as I am looking to add lights to shine on my running boards. I did this on my 2015 GMC sierra 1500 using the puddle lamp circuit on the BCM. Does anyone know which wire this would be on the 2500HD? Picture for reference.
  20. I picked up my check today. I had an independent shop do the work with me supplying the part. (Pump, brake booster, line, and master cylinder). Total cost and reimbursement was $823 and some change. Because I used and independent shop there were a few hoops to jump through, but they did reimburse me.
  21. If have not already done so, report it. https://www.nhtsa.gov/
  22. Looks good, and yes the back doors are tight, but doable. I used a plastic putty knife to assist. Sent from my Nexus 7 using Tapatalk
  23. Started the paperwork process today. Dealer has been very helpful so far. To anyone looking to get reimbursed you will need your receipt and your form of payment (check, credit card)
  24. Call my dealer today, to inquire about the extended service period. They referred me to GM. I called GM and they referred me back to the dealer. I hope this isn't a series of run around.
