  1. 2014, DC 6'5 bed, 5.3L, 6 speed - at 78K now. Became 2nd owner at 29K, 3 years ago.......runs and drives like a long cab, 4x4 pickup with very little mods from original. No: oil burn, fluid leaks, H2O intrusion, electrical gremlins (blank screen, rear slider blowouts, PS drop out, lamps going dark) or NVH issues beyond whats expected. Only fluid change to date has been oil at 6K since i've owned it and nothing reported by leasing dealer from previous owner or GMC records. New: Battery spring '19, new 20" KO2's 6 months after I bought it (Michigan winters), putting in LED backup lights this weekend (921 Dieselleds), pads changed due to boat hauls (surge brakes), wipers (again winter beats things up around here), headlight bulb, rear taillight harness (right side). Truck sits outside everyday and night, get a quick bath after a few hunts or salt builds up, has been driven fully loaded from South Dakota to Pennsylvania, added full floor mats to sweep out mud and folding soft tannue cover. Hope I get 1/2 the life out of it from the '94 Sierra I gave up with some 300K on it (not waxed one time :))
  2. Just ordered a set today (May 22, 2020) based on everything I have researched - they are currently 1/2 price, YEP $54.99 the "MEM10" code takes off another 10% and it was free shipping if you can wait a week
  3. Mine did it once - after several no starts I tracked it down to the "known" negative battery cable crimp (2014 Sierra) - replaced a year ago, no repeats to date.
  4. Received my notice in the mail yesterday - it states "failure to follow recommended oil change intervals could contribute to this condition." I can already hear the excuses for a sub-par part failure being blamed on oil change recommendations between manufacturer (oil) and DIC.......Too - I do not have the DTC set as of yet however, the condition is present. I have some time before this "fix" runs out - so I will let the garage monkeys figure out the technique before I get in line to change out mine
  5. Several similar issues posted here - Mine died about 3 weeks ago: new battery did not solve issue, new negative battery cable and things are good 10 days into it. lots of 2014's experiencing this: new cables fixed many a recent one was the park/neutral switch.....keep posting issues and soiutions
  6. Check out the tow mirror adaptation write up by Pgamboa (within this site) - 1st page he has a diode fix. All cargo lights stay on when in reverse
  7. BIG shout out to Pgamboa for his support, even message replies on a Saturday along with his quality harness's and instructions. This guy knows his stuff and helped me convert an SLE with DL8's to tow mirrors adding: running, cargo and blinker lights this past weekend. I was fortunate enough to own one of those '2014's' that needed the jumper harness as well as the two door harnesses. The effort required was not too bad for a 6'6" 'barrel' of a guy with big hands . Everything worked on the 1st try - once you remember to plug ALL the connectors in......The mirrors are the cleanest items on truck
  8. Hello again,

The OEM P/N of the mirror: 8422884 (right). Just let me know what else you need to select the proper harness for shipment. My cell for any text messaging is 248-508-7430

  9. Can it be done - '14 SLE with simple mirrors, swap out to OEM full functioning tow mirrors (power fold, extend, puddle, blinker, dim, backup...)? I know I will need the complete harness's including RZ jumper and further pig tails from "the man" PGAMBOA :). I too would need to add the right switchs and bezel to the arm rest. I will pull apart the door plug and see what pins are landed but I doubt any of the functions are in place today - anybody do a full upgrade from simple power/heat mirror level?
  10. Can you better explain/share the 3 way switch: type, placement, wire taps......I want to the same choices (Reverse/On/Off) for backing up the boat and whatnot. I was thinking of pulling power from battery into cab for on/off position and using trailer connection for reverse selection. Curious how you made it all happen
  11. Dealer just flashed my 2014 - no issues before, hope nothing new happens now. ~35K miles on truck, so everything should start going to "H" soon. I have only been driving the truck for ~4 months now and to the dealer twice now.
  12. Just at dealer (here in Michigan) to get my 2014 done - $235 labor and a $5 part........they had to keep the truck overnight to inform me of costs. No thanks, I'll do it myself!
  13. New to me 2014 - 1st AFM system (and I do notice the V4-V8 shift). My question to those in the know - do they cut out the same cylinders (which ones) and is it done via: spark and fuel, ect.... trying to get my head around this and parts durability. Will certain cylinders wear sooner, plugs carbon up sooner, ect....
  14. I contacted GM about build sheet for a new to me 2014 - they now want $50 to obtain it . Anyone have a 'cheat sheet' for these almost 4 year old trucks?
