  1. I use mine all the time and have never had an issue. The advantage using the app over the fob is that you can remote start from anywhere, very handy if your not close enough to vehicle for fob to work.
  2. They do warm up nice while driving but if you are setting idling it will run on the cool side. I also changed tires, went from the factory so called A/T Goodyear Fortitudes to Duratraks and lost about 4-5 mpg. Nice to be able to get around in the mud without spinning and sliding around. Still averaging 25-27mpg on the highway. Loving it so far at 2800 miles.
  3. Mine is an E 9 and it is a slider, mid December build
  4. I had this exact thing happen on my 14 a few years back, was about to take it back to dealer and complain?
  5. Tech had to call GM and give them the activation code that came with kit. GM then sent tech a text saying that what ever they have to do is done. Tech then connects computer to the OBD port and goes through a series of prompts, after that everything worked, fog lamp icon on dash also comes on. Took longer for GM to text back than anything. I already had lights and all wiring done before I took it in.
  6. Got the fog lights programmed this morning, everything seems to be working as intended. Dealer never charged for the service either.
  7. Is there any good reason to be going faster than that?
  8. Got an appointment Tuesday to get the fog lights programmed, think I'm done with things for a little while.?
  9. It is an Aeroskin made by Lund part # 322168, smoke in color. $48 on flea bay. It is held on with 3M tape. Had one on my TB and never had any trouble with it.
  10. Got the hood protector put on today
  11. Ok, Thanks. I actually did see them closed this morning right after starting.
  12. Does any one know what criteria needs to be met for the active shutters to function on trucks with the 3.0 Duramax? I have never seen mine closed, even on cold starts when temp is in the teens and 20's they are open. The ones on my wife's 2020 HD 6.6 gasser are always closed on cold start ups. Just curious why I have never seen them shut. Thanks
  13. Not big into too much in the way of mods but have done some small stuff to my new 3.0 LT. Removed front air dam, installed factory fogs, not yet wired to fuse box or flashed, installed black bow tie on front, black abs letter inlays in tail gate, took off the goodyear fortitudes and replaced with Dura Tracs. Have a hood protector yet to be installed, weather not cooperating.
  14. So your saying that there is no automation at the Silao plant? I highly doubt this.
  15. Five of my last six silverados were Mexico built and I had zero problems with any of them, not so with my 19 TB which was built in Ft. Wayne and had nothing but problems with it. As far a parts sourcing I would say the US built trucks use most of the same parts as the ones built in Mexico, only difference is the labor. My current one is a Mexico build and am so far very happy with it.
  16. I've only noticed one regen with mine and I probably wouldn't have noticed it but I had to stop for some road construction and had window down and I could smell it, never seen any dash light telling me it was doing it. That was around 350 -400 miles, have just shy of 800 on it now and have not noticed it since. As far as fan running and coolant temp being low I never noticed anything out of the ordinary.
  17. Dealer never did figure it out, changed both back rotors, calipers and brake pads right at the start, seemed to get better then came back worse than ever, even started doing it to a lesser degree when first taking off in forward. Definitely worse when cold. Was at 21,000 mi when I traded and it was still making the noise.
  18. I was one of these, brakes failing, 4 times and still wasn't fixed, brakes sounding like a wounded elephant when backing out of garage plus infotainment screen issues. Got tired of all the crap, traded the POS for a 2020 with the 3.0 duramax. Happy so far?
  19. My 2019 TB did the brake system failure 4 times before I traded it. 3 of them were before the recall, I never had recall done and it did it again couple weeks before my new one got here. So may just be a coincidence that it did it after recall being performed.
  20. I'm in Kansas so we have just about every kind of weather, mine seems to get worse with colder weather.
  21. First thing that dealer did from the start was lube calipers with graphite, didn't help, replaced both back rotors, calipers and pads and it steadily got worse. I traded it Friday for a 2020 1500 Duramax, it is no longer my problem, service manager did disclose that they had two other customers complaining about same issue. Sure hope my new one doesn't start doing the same.
  22. I order my 3.0 LT on 11/13, was built on 12/14 and took delivery on 1/3. Quickest that I have ever got one when ordering. Funny part about it was that dealer said that he had no allocation at the time that order was pulled one week after placing it. As far as being built in Ft. Wayne I believe it's a crap shoot. My 08, 10, 12, 14, and 15 were all built in Mexico, very few problems with any of them. Not so with my 19 TB which was built in Ft. Wayne and had numerous issues. My new one came out of Mexico and I doubt it will have the problems that my previous one had.
