The fun part hasn't started yet. You'll get more crazy when you find out that your truck is build a and has been shipped but you don't know where it is and when you'll get it. My truck was in that stage for more than a month ?

First, you should get your order number. That easily takes one to 2 weeks. With your order number, you can easily chat with Chevy and get updates.

Active aero grill shutters?
AMPRG replied to Kevin0311's topic in Troubleshooting, Warranty & Recalls
Now I understand what my truck takes so long to warm up and all times is working under low temperatures, compare to my previous 14 with the same 5.3L. -
You should check the Chevy website. They've been some promotions for president day.

If I were you I would add retractable side steps too (around $1600, I believe). I have them and I love them. I'm not sure how bad you are going off road. You should think about it. I'm not sure if you can add Premium package. I added to my LTZ. It is phenomenal. Also, if you don't tow heavily, you should go with 3.23 axel ratio. By the way, I wouldn't waste my money with bowtie and splash guards. Instead, you should order under rear seat storage box which comes with lid. It is really cool.

Guys, I think TESLA has already answered your concerns. It will be your choice to have a strong truck or fancy electric call which will use its range by half when it's getting cold:? https://www.greencarreports.com/news/1121501_dogs-are-cool-especially-in-teslas-with-new-dog-mode

Downshifting issue with 19’ Z71
AMPRG replied to Chico210's topic in Troubleshooting, Warranty & Recalls
This is a real downshift issue: https://www.autoblog.com/2019/02/13/ford-f-150-pickups-transmission-recall/ -
It's better not to be any solution for that. Otherwise they'll steal the truck easily and run way far!

Anyone lost brakes besides me.
AMPRG replied to midriv's topic in Troubleshooting, Warranty & Recalls
Make sure you've got the latest update V509. if you picked up from the available dealer's inventory, you might end up to buy a truck built before late October. A lot of updates came after that time for the similar issues. -
Well, I had the same issues as yours when I had my 2014. My new 2019 is much better, but don't expect completely air sealed. When I end up behind Marijuana smokers, I turn off the AC and manually push the recirculation button (its light comes ON). In this way, my 2019 seals the vent fairly okay, and much better than my old 2014. By the way, if I were you I wouldn't get rid of my new truck just because of this issue. Unless you are looking some justifications to get the new one. Then I can give you a list ?

That's exactly my finding too! I believe if we bend the headrests down instead of keeping them straight up, it would fix the problem

Downshifting issue with 19’ Z71
AMPRG replied to Chico210's topic in Troubleshooting, Warranty & Recalls
This article just came out couple of hours ago: https://amp.usatoday.com/amp/2787155002 It says: The company also issued a recall for roughly 222,000 model-year 2019 Ram 1500 pickups that are equipped with adjustable pedals. The company found that certain adjustments may cause the brake pedals to detach. This is scary, not some kicks in the transmission ? -
Downshifting issue with 19’ Z71
AMPRG replied to Chico210's topic in Troubleshooting, Warranty & Recalls
Since I'm coming from 14 silverado after almost 5 years driving, and 100k miles, I don't care that much if the transmission kick a little bit too. By the way, I felt couple of kicks after 1000 miles too ? Yes, I paid $60k for my new 19 truck, but to be honest with you, I didn't forget that I'm driving a truck, not a Mercedes. Of course, I could buy some sort of a luxury car with this money, and most probably, not to have these issues. I'm looking for other capabilities in my truck that Mercedes and other luxury cars don't have them. I had the same feeling you have, when I saw issues with my 14 one. Crazy problems, such as, freezing infotainment system for hours when I was using HD radio, noises in the dashboard, a lot of recalls, ... Chevy took care of them gradually. Don't forget we all bought the first series of these trucks, and may take time until all bugs to be fixed. Appearance of the truck is something that everyone has his/her opinion about it. Personally, I love my truck's appearance, and I get a lot of compliments about it. I had brand new 2009 Tacoma and I was at the dealer every week for 2 years. I gave up finally, and tarde it in with 34K miles on it. Look at major safety recalls in New 2019 Rams. Ford hasn't change the truck that much in past five years, but look at the complaints and safety recalls on it that it's still coming. I've had past 4 generations of Silverado trucks, and have never been disappointed seriously. I said these just to chill you down ? -
Downshifting issue with 19’ Z71
AMPRG replied to Chico210's topic in Troubleshooting, Warranty & Recalls
I have almost 1000 miles on it now. It's lack of take off in first gear is very similar to my old 2014. I haven't tried sport mode yet. But in general, its shifting is way smoother than my old 14. -
EXACTLY! I was stocked in that black hole for 3 weeks, then another 2 weeks until I got it.

Downshifting issue with 19’ Z71
AMPRG replied to Chico210's topic in Troubleshooting, Warranty & Recalls
I've had no issue with my new 8 speed transmission, tied to 5.3L. The truck was manufactured late December 2018. I see it shifting way more smoothly than my previous 14 silverado with 6 speed and the same 5.3L. -
On "Audio" screen, click on "more" (on the lower left corner of the screen), and select the USB again. Don't try to leave it with the car to pick it up automatically. This should fix the issue.
-
The car is new and the doors are sealed pretty well. I believe the interior plastic trims are rattling.
-
I'm waiting for my first oil change to ask the dealership to fix it. It should happen In the next 3 months.
-
No, I don't agree with you. I wear the seat belt and still have the same problem. It is from the pillar.
-
I'm not sure. But since it's being manufactured in the US, you should start it in their main website.

When the order being accepted by GM, they'll issue an order number. You should have the order number to track it. You should bug your dealer contineously, until they get the number. There are other stuff need to happen by your dealer, such as providing allocation,... But you shouldn't worry about those if you are dealing with a big and reputable dealership. After a week, your dealership should be able to give you the order number. If you get the order number, then you can chat with GM through Chevy website. You can ask them to enroll you in automatic weekly update email system. After 2 weeks, if your dealer doesn't give you the order number, that means something is wrong.
