  1. Not very hard, just a little time consuming because you have to remove the intake manifold and do lots of cleaning once you remove it. You can watch video's on youtube for it. I've done so many of them I can have the intake off in maybe 15-20min now. First time is going to take you way longer lol.
  2. And even on a stock 6.0, that engine doesn't have enough exhaust flow to outflow the cat converters anyway.
  3. If he's just doing a driveway, I don't see a problem with a plow of a 1500. A lot cheaper to do that instead of buying a Can Am Defender or similar to plow with. 4 Wheelers can plow but at a much slower pace and if you driveway is huge, that will suck.
  4. Honestly could probably push them out with your fingers from behind, I normally just bop them with a end of a screw driver. Then they just pop right into the rims, just push them in. Nothing really hard about it. They are designed to be removed and pushed back on over and over again, they have to come out anytime you get new tires for the balance machine. Almost all the center caps for the GM trucks rims that kinda look like this are all the same. The center bore size never changes because the rims still use the same bolt pattern and hub design, the caps can't be any larger or smaller based on that.
  5. Yeah, you can do that. It may ride a little worse with the low profile tires and your speedo will now be slightly off so remember that. You can use an online tire size calculator to see the difference, probably be around 2-3mph if I'm guessing right now.
  6. That should be pretty much all you need to do, just pop them out and and put them on the other rims.
  7. Have someone tune your truck for the swap.
  8. Yup, time to pull the valve cover and check the valve springs and see if that lifter is moving the rockers up and down like normal.
  9. It might not have been in it's own thread, 737mechanic made the underseat floor vent extenders and posted about the oil funnel. https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:4898079
  10. A few years back another guy designed one of here, I'm sure the thread is around here somewhere. I used his and printed my own. Yours is a much taller design, looks good.
  11. What are the actual fuel trims like if you data log them? Are they very negative all the time or floating within that 5% of zero? If it was me and the trims looks fine, I'd just disable the codes forever lol.
  12. Do you have long tube headers?
  13. You can piece it together if you wish, no problems doing that. For the front it's usually easier to just buy the quick struts as you need a very heavy duty spring compressor to do the fronts. I would only trust a wall mounted compressor because these springs are super strong and will break the regular do it yourself tools from a parts store. Been there done that.
  14. Yup, the transmission has to be flashed with the correct file that matches the PCM calibration in the truck. Either a GM dealer or some aftermarket software can do it.
  15. My parents bought a 2021 Silveado around July of 2021, nearly 3 years later it only has 9,500 miles on it lol. They are retired and don't need to drive it much. It's only had the oil changed twice too haha.
  16. I cut my factory bump stops on my truck like 5 years ago when I did the same rear drop on my crew cab. I've towed trailers with it countless times, no issues at all. Sure it rides the bump stop still with a heavy load in the back but I don't care at all.
  17. The head bolts go in dry or they may come with a little thread locker. They don't require any special sealant for coolant or oil as far as I know. There is oil passages in the cylinder heads for oil to make it back into the crankcase. Those passages are sealed by the head gaskets.
  18. I agree, sounds like the truck is charging the battery just fine and the voltage after you shut it off is normal. It will take a few minutes for the voltage to drop and level out after you shut a vehicle off.
  19. You can go on the amsoil website too and they may list the fluid you can use when you search by vehicle. My opinion is that you gain nothing. Sure Amsoil is really good stuff but it's going to work just as well as the factory AC Delco fluid or the Valvoline full synthetic gear oil you can buy at Napa down the street. If you don't tow anything and don't run it hard, you can still stick with the same 75,000-100,000 fluid changes if you really wanted too.
  20. I don't know what to tell you then. If you added 6 quarts, that was the correct amount. Adding a touch more wouldn't harm anything as the oil level is never truly at 6 quarts while an engine is running. Not sure if doing that would bring it up on the stick.
  21. What if it's just so clear that you can't see it? Have you touched it with your fingers or wiped on a clean shop towel to make sure there is oil?
  22. That kind of swap is basically impossible.
  23. Really tight turns even on gravel can cause binding in 4WD, It's why I always keep it in 4AUTO unless I know I may get stuck stuck.
  24. Basically any 20in rim will fit on those trucks. All of the rims will clear the calipers, just have to pick what you think looks best.
