  1. That’s absolutely out of control. It literally takes 25 minutes for an oil change. When I had my 97 c/k I would change the oil. While the oil dripped out of the plug I would check transmission fluid, tire pressure in each tire, along with refilling washer fluid in that time. It would cost me $42 at my dads shop. That’s a huge chunk of change for 25 minutes that they want. It will be interesting if they give you a better deal since you bought it there. I know on my truck at my dealership they get tissy with me when warranty work or any other issue arises on it because I didn’t buy it there. It’s kinda funny. I told them start giving me a deal!! So back in October they gave me a smoking deal on a new Acadia for the wife. Took $9500 off msrp and they haven’t said a word when I have an issue with it. It had a rattle in the door panel and it was no problem, yes sir!! They also gave me the 100k bumper to bumper for $1500. It only took them 4 trucks bought at other dealership for them to open their eyes. I wish you luck and hopefully they treat you right. $130 for an oil change. ?????. I’m still shacking my head.
  2. I apologize on my mistake when I said Sugars, I was referring to the processed side. Not the sugars that fruits make. That’s my bad. I know all about allowing our body to create its own natural hormones. I have always done this even when playing football in college. I never ever have taken any strengths enhancements or supplements. I’ve always allowed my body to do it naturally and I still do when lifting at 530 and and again at 4 pm in after noon with my football team. and I don’t call it fasting, I call it “shocking the system”!! Retraining the body, especially when one gets off the beaten path!
  3. I took advantage of the 0% interest but also got over $6k off the truck from dealer incentives. Along with the dealership giving me $5k more for my 2018 than 2 other dealerships at the time in April, I couldn’t pass the deal up. Plus, I got rid of the $h!tty K2 8 speed transmission. That thing is junk! I am completely satisfied with my deal. Love putting all my money towards the principal
  4. Sugar are the problem no matter how you look at it. Yes sugar in the right AMOUNT is good for you and your body, but people don’t follow those rules and neither do processed food companies or fast food restaurants. Sugar is highly addictive and the more they shove into foods the more people will eat it and continue eating it. I have pages upon pages of this on my laptop. It’s amazing how much of our food now a days is processed instead of “homegrown”/ “naturally grown” It’s the same concept with steroids. IF you can take steroids in very small doses it is actually good for you, BUT so many people WANT the instant bulk and strength and don’t want to wait for it the RIGHT way and they abuse it. Then when they have been using it for years and stop, their body breaks down. And yes if you or anyone lived in hotter areas the fruits are plentiful and good for you. I myself love vegetables. Cauliflower, radishes are my favorite.
  5. This is exactly what I studied in my masters class. It’s because it seems like EVERYTHING in the US economy today for foods is PROCESSED FOODS, which are full of sugars!!! They are not good for you, also with people having busier lives than they did 20 to 30 years ago. So many more people eat fast food. Another thing with these processed foods is that they are simple to make. Pop into the microwave or oven and it’s done. Most people don’t make there own meals anymore because of TIME. And it’s quite sad. You should see the processed food lunches at my kids school. It atrocious!
  6. If you paid sticker for the truck and want to trade it in now after 8 months. You better ask yourself which end of the bat do you want? The “thick” end or the “thinner”, because no matter where you go trade right now, you are going to take it HARD! May I ask why so soon do you want to get rid of your truck? BTW. I only buy new vehicles. I’ve had to many bad experiences with used ones. When I buy it new. I know exactly what’s been done to it since day one and I know it’s been maintained properly. A used one is a coin toss. Now I know there are very nice used vehicles out there, don’t get me wrong, but with new vehicles usually within a few thousand dollars of a used one, because of the lucrative rebates. Heck why not get full warranty, fresh new car smell, and a solid piece of mind.
  7. What do you tow? I have a boat and have never had any issues with braking. And just a heads up there are TONS of aftermarket brakes and pads that are a FAR CRY from $2500.
  8. My opinion on the performance brakes are: 1) The price on them is ridiculous! 2) Unless you take your truck to the race track and race it around, I don’t see the point in it. The stock brakes work just fine for everyday driving experience. 3) I can find a lot of things to spend $2500 on instead of these, like a nice used car or work truck to leave mine in garage on $h!tty days.
  9. I have always gone with the dry filters. I read on their website, you can take them out and clean them with an air hose. Keep 6 inches away and blow it out. I had 22k miles on my 2018 Sierra and never had issue with it ever being real dirty. I did blow it out at 33k miles before I traded it off. I checked my new one last night on my High Country and with 12k miles on it. Looks good. I never drive any gravel roads. I swore I read somewhere they are good for 50k miles.
  10. Sorry about your experience but it is a vehicle and they do break. I went through the “Chevy Shake” in 2016 with my Sierra. It sucked!! It was in the shop more than my garage. Owned truck from August 2016 to January 2017. It was in shop for 4 of those months. But GM took care of me and I got a 2017 and it was perfect. I was on phone with GM and the dealership (sales manager and service manager) everyday though. They need to understand your frustration. I’d be on the phone with GM support/customer service get a claim number and insist GM give you a bumper to bumper 100k warranty. I’ve read that they will do this for customers. Also if your truck is in the shop. Tell the dealership you want another truck. I’ve always requested for a truck and they have always given me one. I just got mine back over Xmas break with a new steering column replacement and a few rattles. They provided me with a 2021 RST. Put over 1200 miles on it in a week??? Again, I have been in your shoes, it sucks, but it’s under warranty and be thankful you are not paying out of pocket. I love my new truck in every way. It’s an all around better truck than the 3 K2s I had. I wouldn’t go back and don’t have any regrets. Good luck with your decision and BTW.....even Toyota has there issues??
  11. I had a 20% coupon at Realtrucks.com. I paid $1180 total. It has been well worth it. I also had a Gibson on last truck and it was very nice. I bought that for $460ish at AutoAnything.com. I might have bought it again if they offered it for standard bed, BUT after having this Corsa on for 5 months. It’s worth every penny.
  12. Just take the dang hitch off after towing your vehicle. My opinion is that a truck looks stupid driving around with a hitch on without towing anything. Might as well have your “fake nuts”hanging from them as well. I remove my hitch the minute I unhook and park my boat. Keeps my shins from getting all banged up and also looks cleaner as well. And then you don’t have to spend any money on other gadgets or gizmos. And btw....it take 30 seconds to put or take it off.
  13. I don’t know if they are the same size. My 6.2L coupler was just very tight and I had a hard time getting it over the throttle body. But it went over and fits nice and snug. When I bought the S&B cold air intake for my 2018 Sierra 6.2L. S&B had both couplers in the box for the intake The directions just stated for consumer to use the right one for whichever engine you had. This new intake for T1s only had a single coupler in the package, so idk for sure if the 5.3L would be smaller. My guess is yes, but as tight as the 6.2L was, I would think it could slip over the 5.3L throttle body.
  14. Exhaust tips look nice. Glad you found a nice cat-back exhaust at a great price. Enjoy!
  15. Glad you like it! I had issue with stock intake; taking it off that bracket. I ended up just twisting a bit and it popped off. I also had trouble with the rubber throttle body coupler going on over the throttle body. I also spent 10 good minutes trying to fit it over. I thought at first they sent me a 5.3L coupler. On my 2018 they sent both couplers with the intake (5.3L and 6.2L). It eventually went on and I agree with everyone else. The fit/finish, style, and sound are amazing. Add that to a catback exhaust and it just makes the truck perform, drive, and sound better. Congrats on the install and glad you were able to get one to you in California.
  16. I agree with @Transient here because I did the same thing today with my High Country. Washed it in a heated bay with high pressure washer. We have had a blizzard past 2 days and I wanted to get all the grime, salt, and chemical $hit off my truck. Took me an hour and half to wash and dry it. Truck took a ton of water in on the front end because it was covered with “grime” from driving on interstate. Truck started up just fine. There has to be something else going on with this issue. Plus, with all those videos I posted earlier in the thread. These Trailboss’s have been tortured by GM themselves along with all kinds of car magazine publishers. I can’t see how OPs truck did what it did. There is an underlying problem. Hopefully it get taken care of.
  17. This is why I am in the hunt for a 96-98 C/K 1500 with a 5.7L. Drive that on $h!tty days and let the new one stay in garage. Drives me nuts having that crud on truck. Especially the wheels. Doesn’t take long for them to go to h$ll with that chemical stuff they put on the road.
  18. I agree. I had a Gibson on my 2018 Sierra 6.2L. Sounded really good, nice deep tone and I bought it for $470 from AutoAnything. Full cat back exhaust and no hacking up stock one. And yes, installed it all myself.
  19. Just got done with a an hour and a half wash and dry in a heated bay at carwash. Been in a blizzard late Thursday and Friday. Kids had ball yesterday so truck was a complete mess. Glad to get all the road grime off the truck.
  20. Not to be a pest but they save lives and there is countless research that backs it. May I ask why you don’t wear one? And I’m not stating a debate or discussion, just asking you a question. Because I too used to not wear one until a tragedy came and now I always put it on. Again, just curious ?
  21. I just buckle all of them in. Then when kids and wife are with me they use them accordingly. I also have done this to our Acadia because I found a rattling sound in 2nd row and it was the seat belts. I secured all 3 rows. No rattles and it’s no cost to me buying something else.
  22. Beautiful truck. Enjoy!
  23. Man love the look. I have been wanting to do this and I called Corsa but they don’t make tips for our trucks with rear bumper exits. Let me know if you find any info out on what tips they are. Truck looks really good!
  24. I second that!! Corsa sounds very aggressive under throttle yet whisper quiet while cruising down highway.
  25. Thanks. I learned something new today. I thought they used the older ECM. Thanks for clarifying.
