  1. You may also want to use a dye to trace any additional leaks. At less than 300 miles I had a similar leak. Thought it was the oil cooler line until they used a dye to trace it. Turned out to be a plastic connector where the oil cooler line went into the cooler up front on the passenger side. Just a thought.
  2. Thats a first. Haven't heard of a leaking sunroof yet. Makes me wonder if the problem is actually the mechanics...The tracks not aligned causing a gap....or even warped roof panel.
  3. It's extremely alarming that GM has not had a fix for this issue. These trucks have been having this issue since they the first one was sold. I don't have anymore fate in mine. Every time I drive I keep waiting for something to go wrong to the point where I don't enjoy driving it. I had a 2018 F-150 Platinum Ecoboost with no issues. Just liked the Denali styling better. Will drive this until the warranty period is up and probably go back to Ford or see what the new Tundra looks like.
  4. +1 for Adams Tire Armor. Not to shiney (depending on how many coats you use) and lasts a really long time. Tire stays clean too in between washes. Not a lot of dirt on the surface.
  5. check out YouTube there are a few videos on trim removal
  6. Yes. And I even keep my truck in the garage. Just used Adams VRT and it seemed to help resort the natural color.
  7. Depending on what they offer you for trade/buyback it might be better to see what another dealer might offer you as trade-in value for a Ford/Ram or another GM.
  8. Now might be the time to ask GM to do a buyback.
  9. It could be that you need to tighten the 4 bolts in the engine compartment fuse box to 6Nm. This has been causing dead batteries and start up issues. There is a dead battery thread in this forum about that. At 2K miles I tightened mine this weekend. They were very loose. Luckily I had no issues prior.
  10. I'm the OP on this topic. After extensive research I've deduced that this is normal. These are very noisy engines when cold. Manifold ticks when its heating up, the high pressure fuel pump is loud etc. If it doesn't do it when the engine has warmed up it should be fine.
  11. Sounds like your dealership did right by you. I used to live in Northern VA and there were a couple of good ones down there.
  12. It scares me how many engine and parking brake issues these 2019 and 2020 trucks have. Makes me wonder what the actual percentage of problems compared to total number of trucks produced....Or is it just the fact that we see them more frequently because we come to these forums.
  13. Going to check mine in the morning! Did you have to disconnect the neg battery terminal or can you just tighten it with a ratchet?
  14. Was it able to crank and start at all? I think I remember some on here with some crazy error codes like that due to extremely low or discharged battery. I've got a 2020 6.2 Sierra as well. These trucks got some crazy issues.
  15. Highly recommend the the Truxedo Lo Pro. I had it on my last two trucks. Very good quality material and good seals. Low profile too.
  16. Just curious...Was yours assembled in the USA or Mexico? There also seems to be a lot of instances with things not being connected properly or torqued down enough. My February 2020 build had and oil cooler connector issue that I discovered in two days of ownership. Then I read about engine bay fuse boxes and u-bolts not being torqued down enough leading to issues.
  17. WOW. Those are some major issues. I have not experienced anything like that...yet. Every now and then, after reversing then shifting into Drive, the backup camera will remain on instead of switching to the forward camera. I think most issues on here are software related. Apparently the QA and testing of software at GM sucks big time.
  18. Surely there has to be a fix for this...I had a 2018 F-150 Platinum with the electric parking brake and never had an issue. Hardly ever used it too. I find myself making sure now I engage the parking brake then turning the engine off on my Sierra.
  19. Three weeks for a service appt is ridiculous. I wonder how many trucks are affected with this issue? There's got to be a hundred thousand out on the roads now.
  20. Not driving much due to COVID since I only have just 1700 miles on it now. However, I've kept a very close eye on it. The sound goes away when it's warmed up properly and no noise at all on acceleration. My gf keeps telling me that's what a warranty is for....I'm kinda OCD sometimes.
  21. That's a first! Have not heard of or experience anything remotely close to this. What did they do to get you up and running?
  22. Not valid online. Only good through dealership. Used my points to get a bed mat.
  23. Thank you. Interesting and good read. It's not happening on acceleration or when the engine has warmed up and driven a while. Also got an OBD2 scanner and it's not throwing any code. Guess I'm just ultra sensitive after my oil leak experience and reading all the troubleshooting posts.
  24. Cool man. Glad you were able to fix it yourself. I don't trust the techs at these dealers. I just wonder why that part was not on the truck at the factory. Maybe it was loose/fell off and the dealer just chucked in the back??
  25. Driver side or passenger side footwell. Look up the part number stamped on it on one of the gmparts websites. Will see a diagram. Most likely driver side. had to go under there to wire up the illuminated door sills.
