  1. According to the sales manager at the first dealership we were trying to get to find us a truck, production was shut down for a couple months due to coronavirus. LT's were/are in short supply too.
  2. Owners manual suggests using the battery on the passenger side when needing to jump start trucks with two batteries.
  3. Kind of wondering if this is a common issue and this is something I am kind of watching for on mine right now. My level showed it was at like 3 bars a couple weeks ago, according to the supplemental manual it should have been able to take 3.5 gallons of def. I added less than 1.5 gallons and it was full at the tank, overfilled. The level then showed one bar less than full. Drove for about a hundred miles with it at that level and then the level went to full, all bars lit up green. It has been showing full for the past 200+ miles since. I question the accuracy of this.
  4. That is strange. Would seem the second battery would at least power things up and give you some kind of something on the display. Far as the delco battery quality, the last delco battery I had prior to this new truck was in our 12 impala. It made it just past the 3 year mark and crapped out with no warning. Have had better luck from wally world maxx batteries. Guess I need to figure out which battery is the primary, honestly have not looked real close at them yet.
  5. About 1100 some odd miles on mine now and have not had this issue when remote starting.(knock on wood) I am having almost every time I get in though where it is asking me to confirm which user profile.
  6. Managed to find one set of 4 sensors new for under $90, should have them later next week. The harbor freight tire changer will come in handy once again, should be able to break the bead on one side enough to swap out the old stems and put in the tpms. Guess I will see how it goes without a learn tool, if it is too much trouble, will pick one up.
  7. No doubt that would be a turn off. Hope they get it straight for you. Situations like this, would seem gm would be eager to give their customers some compensation for the time involved. Unfortunately it seems most auto makers have their issues they fail to address in a fair time frame. Dodge screwed us over on our awd limited durango with a hemi. Bought it new in 08 with a lifetime powertrain warranty. Was a recall for the gas filler spout for it pouring gas out when filling about 6 years in. Made complaints to the servicing dealer several times, and finally they fixed it with the recall. Last year it developed rust through directly under the filler door. The only rust anywhere on the vehicle, has been for the most part garage kept and driven in TN where exposure to salted roads is not an issue. Dodge knows this is an issue that they are to blame for, but they refuse to fix it. I have seen loads of the same body style with the same rust through from minor to so bad there are large holes. For that sole reason I took dodge off the table for consideration on our new truck.
  8. Still at the pressures they were when I picked up the truck at the lot, +/- 60 front 70 rear. Those are the placard specs for my truck.
  9. https://www.chevrolet.com/contact/chat , have to get past the bots and give a live person your vin. Could be wrong, but thought the sensors could be programmed without the use of a learn tool.
  10. Followed redwngr's advice and got the full build sheet from chat, quicker than a call to the dealer. Saved the file. Shows my truck does have the U1D, along with a lot of other codes not listed in the door codes. Will keep on looking for the sensors, not paying $115 for a pair of them(best current deal I am finding).
  11. Standard bed crew cab 2500 lt with duramax. Total capacity with occupants is 3316 lbs.
  12. That is what I did, appears that it does not show the codes associated with this. Yes, my truck is an lt with conv package 2. I have played around some with the trailering menu and I have setup profiles for two of my trailers and connected both of them, and it does have the reminders, mileage , and diagnostics. Actually told me I had a bulb out on my stock trailer. Pretty sure I saw a setup screen for the trailer tpms somewhere. Seeing as how the codes in the door are incomplete, I will definitely do this. Thanks for all the information.
  13. Don't know, but when I checked the fitment on one of the ebay sellers for the "1500" sensors, it said they were not for my vehicle. I scrolled through the 6 pages of trucks and there were no 2500's or 3500's listed. Specs on my truck before I bought it showed it was equipped with the advanced trailering and had the U1D module, it does not show up on the rpo codes though. Is there another way to know for certain before I order sensors somewhere?
  14. This thread kind of raises a question, does it matter which battery you jump with the duramax 2 battery system?
  15. Do you by chance have a link for those? Only sets I am finding now are in the $130 for 2 range, or are the sets for the half tons, which appear to have a different sku.
  16. My rpo codes from inside the door do not show the code for the trailer tpms, but I know the code was either on the window sticker online or somewhere else before I bought the truck. There is a schrader module behind the license plate, assumed that was for the trailer tpms system? Tried finding a current listing of rpo codes, but not really had any luck.
  17. Never mind, figured out how to pull it from the bar code on the door pillar.
  18. Thanks for posting the reviews, had not checked any reviews on them yet. Agree that I would not take my chances with them either after seeing that. A bumper or grill guard is in the not too far off future for my 2500, had looked at a few at realtruck, but also was looking at bumper superstore and a few other places. Will definitely check back in here to see others suggestions.
  19. Varies depending on what I am buying and how fast I need it. For local repair parts, usually will go with our motor parts store, which is a napa store. If not urgent time wise, will sometimes use rockauto. Been looking at realtruck's bumper's and seat cover's. Prices seem fair.
  20. Saw them on ebay, was not sure if the ones I saw were actually the right frequency, and was also a bit skeptical of some of the sellers. Also, thought I read that only 6 tires or sensors can be acknowledged by the system. Maybe that is per trailer profile?
  21. Discontinued, yes. I was told I could NOT order a 2021 in shadow gray, that the color was discontinued. Had also read on the gm authority site a few months back that the color was discontinued. As far as whether gm will bring it back, who knows.
  22. Crazy markup on these things from $50 for 4 to $160 a pair on the gm parts site. Sure there are aftermarkets available. They did NOT come with my duramax, but my truck does have the u1d.
  23. Thought the peddle was a little softer than I expected when leaving the lot with it, guess I got used to it pretty quick. No complaints here.
  24. Is that code something that would be on the window sticker, or where would you find out? Not a big deal here really, could see where if it could be added for a reasonable cost it might be handy for backing my stock trailer to the gate to load cows. Mirrors work fine though.
  25. Same question here. Have the advanced trailering package, and the module for trailer tpms sensors is installed. Have the 4 wire flat plug, but not the camera plugs. I have not looked to find if the wiring is at the bumper for the camera on my truck yet. Guessing a module is needed?
