  1. This is a very good question I have wondered myself. There seems to be no way to put it in neutral unless its started.
  2. Reading the fluid level does not change. There used to not be a thermostat on the transmission.
  3. It is the stage 1 and no, I did not install it myself.
  4. Thanks Gangly. However, I meant what are the signs of an UCA going bad. I remember seeing the million mile warranty for the shocks. Its one of the reasons why I went with them. Ill never need another set until the warranty is gone on the truck and I have a 6" lift put on it. The Ranchos definitely sucked. Was the absolute worse ride without having a bad shock that I have ever had. Not sure why they even bother using that garbage. I had to go over speed bumps every day going to work so know exactly what you mean by continuing on to bounce. Kinda figured it would settle but always good to be sure. As for measurements, you never want to measure from the ground, you always want to measure from the bottom of the wheel. The wheel to the fender is pretty constant where the ground to the fender can change due to pressures uneven pavement etc. Thanks. So far I am enjoying its stance. The ride itself only improved.
  5. Some pretty decent MPG there. I have a 5.3 and the 8 speed. I leveled mine this past week and per the DIC, I am getting about 17MPG running the highway at 75. This is without the heavy Nitto tires you put on yours. Sad too in the fact I have the muffler removed and the Air Raid MIT installed as well.
  6. Ill get some when I walk out from work this afternoon and try to post them tonight.
  7. Is there a sign when one starts going bad? Never had to deal with it before lol. I do love the way she looks though lol.
  8. Ahh, didnt think about that. Makes sense. Is it going to hurt anything that it went slightly over 2" in the fronts? Seems everyone says anything over 2 will damage the UCAs.
  9. Kit is installed. Looks pretty nice but I am surprised the measurements around all four corners did not remain even. Each corner is now measuring something slightly different. Drivers rear is a bit over 34", passenger rear is about 1/8" under 34", drivers front is about 1/8" under 34 and the passenger from is 1/4" under 34. I guess the only one that really bothers me is the passenger front being 1/4" lower. Its only an 1/8" vs the other side but more than 1/4 vs the drivers rear. Would this be considered normal and nothing to worry about or is something incorrect?
  10. Had the Eibach kit installed today. I will say it sits so much better. Even though all four corners are not exact in height, its close enough for me not to see eyeballing it. I think the the most that one corner is off is just under 1/4". I figure there will be some settling in also. I got my original springs and shocks back. They said I should just sell them. How much is a set of Ranchos and stocks springs worth? About 5k miles on them.
  11. Same, $65.95. Makes me wish I had a remote job even more since I fill up about every 4 days.
  12. Yours is level after you added the 2" rear block? Looking at the instructions, it only adds 1.9" with springs on the recommended settings. Kinda confused how yours leveled out after added more to the rear.
  13. My kit should be here on Thursday and plan on having it installed on Friday. From all the reading and what not I have done, it looks like they do not recommend going over the second slot. However, the second slot only adds 1.9" with springs. This wont quite level my truck as the rear measures at 33 1/4" and the front measures 31 3/4". There will still be about half an inch difference between the fronts and rears. How noticeable will that be? Thanks.
  14. Gotcha, so nothing that is needed for the adjustable shocks.
  15. I ordered the Eibach system back in Dec. Still on backorder. After they get installed, other than an alignment, is there anything else that needs to be done? What is the steering calibration that was mentioned?
  16. Believe they are all pretty much on back order. Same with Eibach. Been waiting now two months for my set.
  17. I use a WixXP on my truck. Have used Wix and Pezzoil Platinum for years.
  18. Awesome. Granted I do not have auto up. Hopefully it will allow the install of a TonneauMate storage box also.
  19. Ill be looking for a cover myself in a few months. Out of all the ones mentioned here, I havent seen many say if it interferes with the auto down of the tailgate. Can anyone speak to this for the models you have on your trucks?
  20. I always wondered why the lapse in quality of the paint on new cars. I guess now we know its purposely done to hide the other short cuts they take. I remember when orange peel in a cars paint was a hard no and a sign of poor craftsmanship.
  21. If you say that's what the backseat was for
  22. I was born at the end of that era. My Dad always tried to get me out there to learn but I had no interest. Looking back, I wish I had. I will be turning 50 this year and miss the good ole days of less technology. Things were less complicated back then.
  23. If I have said it once Ive said it 100 times, most seem to accept mediocrity. Its sad when we use to demand such quality in the things we worked hard to obtain to now accept "its ok." On top of that, instead of keeping things for 10 years, a lot are suckered into buying that small upgrade and repeating the purchase year after year. If everyone voted with their wallets, maybe companies would listen.
  24. HA! I played around with a 13 Camaro SS and ran open headers for a day or two. That was crazy loud. It did sound a bit nasty too. I just had the muffler and flapper cut on my 21 Sierra. Sounds pretty good just doing that. Ill probably leave it that way til the warranty runs out then throw LTHs on it. Personally I dont mind loud but it has to sound nice and clean.
  25. Too bad there was never a resolution posted in the below thread. His truck had no DFM.
