Can I switch the obd 2 port to turn on with the key? It’s always on. Cannot figure it out. Thanks! 2016 5.3 silverado i just installed a SCT programmer and I wanna leave it in the truck but not if it won’t shut off when the key is not even in the ignition.

Buy a battery.

When my truck wouldn’t start from cold weather it needed a battery. Get the most CCA possible.

Maybe depending on how they’re mounted. My wrangler was the same way it got blasted. Lol. Trucks worth a little more tho. Maybe I should look.

so got the 2 inch front spacers 3 inch rear blocks 1.5 body lift -38 mm offset wheels 33.5x11 rub on full lock. mechanic says when in doubt pound it out. He did this on his 2500.

I have 2 inch spacers front. Waiting it’s in the mail for a 3 inch block lift rear. I have the new 3 inch shocks also. Plus I have a 1.5 inch zone body lift sitting in the truck. Gunna pay for install. But I also have new rims and tires with new tpms waiting to go on. 305 70 17 -38 mm offset

Today is a sad day as I seen I should have leather with a heated wheel and I do not! my question pertaining to fuses. I seen I have two spots for a fuel pump. only one of them has fuses in it. Should I put them in the other side? the guy also took the fuses out of the electric e brake. And some USB ports and some other things.

Can I see a pic? I wanted to do an intake but I want a box. the box ones they sell have glass with a seal to the inside. I wouldn’t buy it. Honestly I want like the factory box with the tubing to the motor. But I’d want the filter system in the factory box. is that what your describing? yeah, for my truck it’s low speeds going up hills. High speeds to but I drive in town mainly lol. today after changing all the fluids I rode 100 miles ish. I got myself speeding? Lol. But the fluid definitely made a change. But, I only kinda did it half ass cuz I didn’t change all the fluid? Dropping the pan doesn’t drain it all. I’d guess some would be stored in running lines and radiator. this V8 stuff is heavy. Speaking of that I read there is 10-16 fuses controlling fuel consumption all around. When I first got my truck there was 2 quarts of gas in the oil. WHEN IN DOUBT CHANGE IT OUT.I was thinking maybe the injectors are sticking? No way it’s leaking through the motor itself. Only 50k miles. Shouldn’t be the pump. Than I seen all those fuses I was like damn. Inside both front doors is a panel and under the hood. I should go check and see if any are bad and what my oil reads. I’ve rode 2k on the oil since the change. I try to drive the truck on the weekend or if the wife needs the car. Nissan Sentra highly recommend. 2019. Put in a 100$ chip hella gains. Mpg went from 32-36 to 40-45. I couldn’t believe it. But, also the car has less miles than the truck so. Lol. In the summer I drive a Harley 883 if it doesn’t rain. just got a new job, distance is double, in the summer when I can ride… I’ll feel like the kool-aid man. OHHHH YEAHHHHHH!!!!!

When in doubt change it out!

I have an extra comment on this topic. I changed the tranny fluid and the filter and it doesn’t down shift to gain power now. It just revs a lil higher vs down shifting. Thought I needed a programmer for this. just needed fluid! not sure how old your fluid is? my truck is a 16. so mine was 5 years old going on 6. I changed out both axles and the tcase. Never seen so many metal shavings in my life. WHEN IN DOUBT CHANGE IT OUT! these liquids deteriorate with time reguardless what the bottle says. had a Harley 500. Was almost over heating. It was a 15 so 6 year old coolant. changed the fluid and was noticeably cooler. traded in that 500 for a 2019 883. same concept. Got the bike couldn’t get it over 90 mph. Guess what it needed an oil change hit 102 the other day. Had some sludge in the motor. Idk how it’s a 2019!!!! reguardless what you got how new or old it is. Change the fluid so you know. The guy who did it could say what ever you wanna hear. luckily my car is a 2019 so that one should be okay for now lol

Take a 2x4,4x4 board. Under the truck middle of the frame. Slap the board up on the frame. Ratchet strap the exhaust to it. Maybe 3-4 clicks with the strap. Pan will wiggle out. i believe it’s over where the tcase, trans is. Passenger side. want a picture lmk! I just did this task yesterday with the filter and did the tcase and both axles.

Yeah I got the better deal hands down 250$ a little shy I did both axles, t case and the trans drip pan removed and did the filter. All my fluids were dirty. Only at 55k miles.

I think I paid 50$ for 5 at the 315 frequency. Still waiting for them almost been two weeks

Third time I’m writing this up. I just did both axles, t case, dropped the trans pan and replaced the filter. Cost me about 250$ not bad I think. All new oils all around except coolant. wanted to protect that G80. I guess my truck is one of the lucky ones with the 4.21 gears or what ever it is. self satisfaction lol.

I have 275 55 r20 I hated it from the test ride but can’t judge it on the street princess rim. I feel every pothole every bump. On the freeway it’s horrific. Feel like a Jeep Wrangler lol. Jk Jeep fans. I go offroading now and than. Need that extra tire for you may never know. it helps for pot holes etc. Id hate for the wife to curb the 20s. I’m just saying. im awaiting to put on my 305 70 r17 larger tire. We’ll see.
