  1. The virus thing is a mess with everything. Since we had to close our business there is no need for the business computer to be online so I wanted to cancel the antivirus. Well turns out the phone support has been closed and trying to get in touch with them online has been impossible. Second since our income has changed I canceled our SiriusXM and again, I was on hold forever. Even thought they said I could cancel it online, when I tried there was no option so I had to wait for 20 minutes to get in touch with a live person to cancel. What a mess Covid 19 is causing. We can't wait for things to turn around and get back to normal.
  2. You can get a suntan in that garage!
  3. Yes, you will get a plethora of choices. For what is available on the shelf at the part stores, you can't go wrong, especially if you are changing it every 5k. Going synthetic in a diesel to keep things cool and clean is a better option in my opinion. If you want a quote on a 2.5 gallon jug of AMSOIL's diesel oil, pm me your address and I can get you a quote.
  4. Growing pains for the most part. Looking forward to this adventure.
  5. I understand you not wanting to void your warranty. Switching over to AMSOIL ATL transmission fluid will not void it. I've switched every vehicle I own over to it within the first 10k miles with no issues. I don't have any experience with the 8sp but there are individuals out there that have. How things are since they switched I can't say. I can say that I have talked to other AMSOIL dealers that have customers with the 8sp and they said it made a huge difference in the way the transmission shifted. Again this is from other AMSOIL dealers. I personally have no customers that have switched that were having issues and it helped after they switched.
  6. Sorry this happened. Sounds like a flaw in the material on that connecting rod. Very rare but it can happen.
  7. I don't have a HD but do have E rated tires and have kept them at 40psi all around and have 70k miles on them. Michelin LTX M/S2s. I do tow a 4k trailer monthly.
  8. Hasn't anyone learned anything from watching "The Walking Dead"? Not one episode did they ever mention not having toilet paper!!!!!
  9. Looks great. Can you give me a ballpark of what it cost? I'm wanting to get that done as well.
  10. Did you do the floor or did you have it done? If you did it what did you use? Looks good.
  11. No. I have a 2019, I have been lazy and not gotten around to putting it in my info below my avatar. My main concern was loosing blind spot alert in the mirror going from the regular mirrors to the towing.
  12. Great. Then I need the mirrors off a 2020 High Country it seems. Now the question is if I can get them and the harness for everything to work just like my non-towing mirrors do.
  13. Plenty of room in that new man cave.
  14. Not sure if this has been asked but with the HC does it have the blind spot monitoring and the yellow light in the mirrors?
  15. Just a thought but just because it is fairly new doesn't mean it is good. You can have it checked. Where did you get it from?
  16. No issues. I had it done at 10k on the Burb and it now has 60k. I did due a pan drop and filter change at 55k since it was the original filter.
  17. Here in N.C. I had the transmission on our 2016 Suburban's fluid exchanged. No pan drop, just fluid exchange. I provided the AMSOIL fluid and they did the work. Cost me $100.
  18. Actually, that 2.8 was a tough engine. I've know of several that had gone over 200k with no issues.
  19. There is an inspection port so to speak on the side basically where a dipstick tube would go. There is a plug over it. Could pull the plug to check.
  20. What does the fluid look like? At that temp like posted above I would think it would have effected the color and no longer be a nice pink color.
  21. The quality control in the product is one thing. Every batch is equal to the last. Being a smaller company compared to the likes of Mobil, AMSOIL strives to product a high quality product. Don't get me wrong, Mobil 1 isn't bad but for the high volume of oil they put out the quality between batch's can vary. Another aspect is AMSOIL covers all their products with their own warranty and stands behind it and have been since they came on the market back in 1972.
  22. You need to use AMSOIL's Upper Cylinder Lubricant instead of Lucas's.
  23. That doesn't sound right. If it truly was that high something is wrong. I would think it would have thrown a code. How long of a drive in the deep snow?
  24. I'm going to take my 2019 in and have the dealer exchange the transmission fluid with AMSOIL ATL here within the next month or so. I'm at 7,500 miles now and this is the same mileage I had it done on my 2002 silverado and our 2016 Suburban. I've had the fluid in my 2002 in for 100k and did a UOA and it was still in great shape. I just dropped the pan and changed out the filter and topped back off with fluid. I also tow a 4k lbs trailer monthly with it. Granted it is only a 4sp and I keep it in 3rd most of the time to keep from going in and out of OD on on the interstate but the transmission temp stays around 189°F this is with a stock trans cooler.
