Autoride

I have a 2004 Yukon XL 2500 with Autoride and it rides very hard/rough. I took it to the dealer last week and they tested the system and said it was operating to specs. I think something is wrong. When I remove the fuse and disable the system, the Yukon rides much better. I think it is operating in the full hard setting. It never seems to change even when I change to tow/haul trans setting. This is supposed to change the suspension setting as well as trans settings. The system only has the adjustable shocks and no air compressor.

Is there any way to re-program the control unit for the system? I only have 45,000 miles and the shocks shouldn't be worn out. What can I do? Any suggestions?

Did it used to have a better ride when newer?

If yes, then something is worn or not working like originally designed to work.

So far as changing the programming, GM controls the software. They can do whatever they want...

But I would imagine getting them to change something could be quite "challenging", because they are going to be worried about vehicle safety and lawyers. If they change anything, they would want to make darn sure this did not change the safety of the vehicle = tons of engineering studies and testing = $$$.
