Just_Gerald Posted August 17, 2009 Posted August 17, 2009 Recently noticed a new sound on my 2001 GMC Sierra (2wd, 4.8, automatic). When accelerating when the truck is shifting from 3rd to 4th there is a pressurized hiss sound for about 1 second. I did some investigation at 70 and found that the sound does not occur when the AC is off (At least I can't hear it any more). Any ideas on where to start looking for the cause of this sound? I was thinking it was a valve in the tranny sticking but the AC connection baffles me. Thanks for the help
