Brake Pedal Feedback

Recommended Posts

Posted

Over the summer i've noticed some feedback in my brake pedal as i'm coming to a stop. At first it was once or twice months apart, but now its like 1 in 10 times as i'm coming to a stop. IT feels like i'm on ice and abs is kicking on and modulating the brake pedal. BUt its always on dry pavement. Is something about to go? I havent gotten any cels in the message center yet? Fluid level is good.

PLEASE HELP

You likely have a bad wheel speed sensor. Take it to a shop that can put a scanner on and view all four wheel speeds at once as your driving. If you're unlucky, like I was, the ABS computer itself is gone. I pulled the fuse and fixed it.

Trying to work on this finally, i'm going to rotate the tires and clean all of the sensors and hopefully that does the trick. Anything else i should look for under there? If the back of the hub is rusty where the paint is flaking off, could that affect the sensor? Or just worry about cleaning the sensor??

Still no cel lights on dash panel... Thanks for any advice!!

So did you end up replacing the unit to fix your problem or did reseting it by pulling the fuse fix it??

I think he meant that he disables the ABS system all together by pulling the fuse.
